Hi Mach-E Owners –

We wanted to let you know that if you have an annual or monthly BlueCruise subscription plan or are coming up on the end of your 90-day complimentary trial, Ford is lowering the annual and monthly pricing plan for all BlueCruise-equipped vehicles. Here are the details:
  • New pricing will be $495 annually and $49.99 monthly.
  • This new pricing goes into effect today, October 1, 2024.
  • If you are a current BlueCruise customer, you will see the new price reflected on your next payment.
  • If you have a BlueCruise-equipped vehicle, BlueCruise can be easily activated via the FordPass app under the Connected Services tile.
We are also pleased to share that if you have a BlueCruise-equipped vehicle you can now earn and redeem FordPass® Rewards Points toward a BlueCruise subscription. If you’d like to use your Points, simply go to the FordPass app under the Connected Services tile, and choose to redeem your Points for some or all of your BlueCruise subscription. You also now earn Points when you purchase BlueCruise!

We hope you continue to enjoy hands-free highway driving!

Just checked my connected services and saw that bluecruise is now cheaper? Is this a permanent thing? Seems the month to month is about $30 less than before and the yearly is about $300 less if my memory is correct.

Was this a low key change? Anyone else seeing these prices?

Yes, I see it. The annual was reduced from 800 to 495 and monthly down to 50. It had been 70 or 80. Obviously more attractive but still a personal choice depending on use case and financial appetite. I think we can infer subscription rates at the prior prices weren’t living up to Ford’s expectations. I think it’s a good move on Ford’s part.

Yeah it's a good drop and brings it closer to the attractive mark. I would maybe be willing to pull the trigger on a month here or there when it's really needed.

My biggest issue with it I think is the individual vehicle nature of their services still. It's a company that has basically always encouraged and advertised towards having a garage of Ford vehicles, being in the Ford family, etc. So why do they not have household plans for stuff like this? $50 for a month of BC for the Mach-e and then if I want to use it for the F-150 it's another $50, even if I am the only individual that actually utilizes it?

Give me $500/yr of Family BlueCruise covering all the Ford's and Lincoln's registered at my home and you got yourself a deal. But having to track each service (even beyond BC) between each vehicle is dumb and pushes me more towards just not bothering.

Still about $400/yr more than I'd be willing to consider paying for how little I'd actually use it. But I be this gets a few more to jump on, it's a decent drop.
This! I'd pay about $10/mo or $100/year - tops. Just don't see the value in it - especially for us '21s that still have BC 1.0

Yep. I still think self-steering in personal cars is mostly a party trick rather than something truly useful. I've found it *more* stressful to use than simply steering myself.

But even party tricks are worth something. ?

I'd really like to see a multi-vehicle discount plan. Most road trips are both of us in one vehicle. I really don't need BlueCruise in both vehicles at the same time.

How about a multi-vehicle, single-use license? Whichever Ford vehicle activates the license gets it until the vehicle is turned off.

BC 1.0 helped to relieve stress on long drives but not nearly as much as 1.3/1.4 does.

What’s Bluecruise? ??

I wouldn’t pay a dime a year for it. Ford wouldn’t let me pay for the hardware, So why would I pay for software that isn’t compatible with my car? ?‍♂?

How many people actually own multiple vehicles from the same manufacturer? Most people I know who have more than one vehicle have vehicles from different companies (for example, Hyundai and Honda). Besides, only a few Ford vehicles even have BlueCruise available. I’d be surprised if there are many people who have more than one BlueCruise vehicle.
I guess there might be a niche market for this, but give ford a chance - “baby steps”.

Note: I do not want a bunch of forum users jumping all over me saying “but I have a Mach e, an F150, a navigator and an Aviator, so you’re WRONG!” This forum is not exactly an average sample of vehicle owners ?

Interesting news, it’s still significantly more than the original $200 we were quoted when we purchased our cars originally.

Also, can you help me get current version of blue Cruise on my 2021?

Still waiting for updates past the original version

This drop makes it so I can likely win the argument with my wife over BC. I do wish Ford would get off of it and upgrade the 2021 cars like mine. My 3 included years expires 11-11-24

Ford would let you buy the hardware - you just didn’t want the wonderful panoramic roof that they tossed in, gratis, as an incentive ?
I still think you have the coolest dog I’ve ever seen ?
