How to Enable B&O Beosonic EQ with FORScan

If this statement from https://media.ford.com/content/ford...ic-put-perfect-sound-at-your-fingertips-.html is correct, they’re not going to add this to older cars.

BeosonicTM is an ex-works feature and unfortunately cannot be added to vehicles with B&O Sound Systems already on the road.​

Most likely it's because Ford's DSP module is one of the few that isn't OTA capable.

That's very likely.
Certainly plausible explanation.

But it's an excellent example, or one more example, of how FDRS can empower a vehicle owner.

Or put another way, overcome the limitations of OTA.

Obviously there are existing vehicles on the road with B&O systems that are compatible with this feature, regardless of the ability of the manufacturer being able to, or willing to, enable it.

As recently as 23-PU1024-6CH-AUD. That updated the DSP.

It overrides the tone settings (treble mid bass).

I can only tell you that if you choose a Beosnic setting, and you definitely hear the result, if you then switch to the equalizer, it doesn't reflect the Beosnic setting. In fact, it still has the settings you last made using the equalizer.
At least that's how it works in my car.

Just got this working in my 2023 premium! My first, but not last FORScan mod. Many thanks to everyone who contributed to this and the other FORScan threads!

Oh, by the way, I find that my equalizer does indeed work in conjunction with Beosonic.

Followed these steps and got the UI, but it doesn't seem to actually work. So I guess maybe 23-PU1024-6CH-AUD isn't new enough for the DSP? Ah well.

Perhaps your ears are just not sensitive enough to pick up the minute differences that B&O intended.....or it's just marketing crap.

I'll place my bet on the latter especially when it comes to OEM audio.
