Any inside information?

Do we know if this delay is affecting all cars or just the ones already in the U.S?

What happens if all these delays add up to cars being delivered in September that were promised in March/April? Will they just scrap those and start producing 2022 models?
Some folks had 2020 Escape PHEV orders with VINs generated and dealers saying the cars were built, but they were (from what I've read) never delivered due to their battery recall, and Ford "cancelling" the 2020MY Escape PHEV. I don't know if those Escapes are still sitting somewhere technically waiting to be fixed even though the 2021MY is already running, or if they're going to crush them. Not that anything that dramatic is probably going on here.

Fortunately/unfortunately for me, depending on your perspective, a fossil car is not an option. The only other BEV that I'm really that interested in is the VW ID.4 and I doubt they'll have any on the lots in any material quantity by March 30 when my Mach-E is now slated to arrive. I'll say the race did get a bit more wide open though, if an unclaimed ID.4 did happen to be available before.
I think I'm going to let my emotions subside overnight and not make any rash decisions, but I'm fuming right now.

Can't blame you.

We've waited a long, long time for these cars.

It's actually kinda not really feeling that "new" anymore, I've had so much time to wait that I've devoured every YouTube review I can find, even those not in English, and read every review I can find, and read the owners' manual... it's not really gonna be that surprising to get it now.

Mine was 1/20 moved to 3/23.

Seriously concerned given I had received an email my Mach-E had shipped not two weeks ago. I have my VIN and everything so I know it’s built. Crazy to have this delay without so much as an apology with a week til delivery.

I’ll likely have to cancel as well with that timing. That’s 9mo from when I expected it.

Total speculation, but perhaps they found the root cause of TFL's charging issues?
The charging issue is that they need to precondition the battery like Tesla before L3 charging! I was told that this would not be necessary but it certainly is

I hear what you are saying. When someone posts a new video I ask “for those that have been here a while is there anything new.”

I got pretty excited when I saw the German translations of the driving modes!

Ooh... "Temperamentvoll" instead of "Unbridled!"

But yeah, it's getting kind of stale now honestly. I can close my eyes and see the car in all its detail just the way I've ordered it. It's going to be anticlimactic to take it home.

Hmm..I wonder if those of us in the in-between of produced but sitting at the factory still might benefit from proximity and get this issue fixed sooner? Though I guess that depends on just how long it takes to figure out what fix needs to happen.

Unfortunately for us/fortunately for Ford, what other EV can deliver on a tighter timeline than even 3/23?

I think I’m just jinxed or something. I just got done waiting 502 days (who’s counting) for a new C8 Corvette. Supposed to be delivered spring of last year, then strike, then COVID. Picked up December 7. Then while waiting, reserved Mach E on November 18, 2019. So looks like it will be another 504 days for this one. Guess 500 is my lucky number.

The charging issue is what @TFLtommy experienced: in 4 tries they only got their loaner to DCFC charge once, and in 2 L2 charging attempts only once.

When you DCFC charge a Li-ion battery in cold weather it does have to be warmed up, but that should occur automatically.
