I’d start with Yelp reviews. There is an option where you can send multiple bid requests. I’ve used it on several projects

I tried. Its hard to tell if they are good with EV installation when have 15 reviews ? thats why decided to trust if somebody had installation done already by certain electrician.

There is nothing particularly special about EV charger installation. It's no different than a hot tub. Any licensed electrician can install an outlet and breaker. Just make sure that if you have a cord and plug application that they use an industrial grade outlet (or buy your own https://tinyurl.com/Hubble-14-50).

Get a couple estimates and verify their license and insurance and you should be good to go.

There is one tiny caveat. The current NEC (2023) requires a GFCI breaker for 50A outlets in the garage (i.e., not hard wired). These are way more expensive and can cause false trips when paired with a charger that has internal ground fault protection. It's safer for you if you un-plug the outlet frequently without opening the breaker first, but may cause issues over the life of your installation.

A quick search indicates that AZ is still on 2017, so you may want to double check with whoever you hire about what type of breaker they plan to use and if it's required. If you can legally get a standard breaker IMO, do that... but also deenergize before you unplug!

We live in Sun City West. We had [email protected] do our installation in 2022. The County inspector commented on what an excellent job they did. They were also reasonably priced.

I used Douglas Wright Electric for my install. His prices were cheaper than other companies and he did a clean install. His company has also did a couple other jobs for me. Website: http://www.dweinc.us/
