I just received an email (seemingly) from TeslaTap announcing the release of a new TeslaTap product called the SuperTap. I say "seemingly" because the URL is teslatapinc.com rather than the umc-j1772.com through which I ordered my TeslaTap Mini back in 2022.

Here's a screenshot of the email:

And here's an image from the site of the product.

I presume it is legit, but I'd do some checking if you're interested in buying one. (I did check the domain name registrations and they show the same contact info for both sites so I presume it's legit. But I make no warranties.)

Does it have a manual latch like the v1 A2Z adapter? It looks like it in the picture.

I don't know Mark. (I've not seen an A2Z adapter in person.) It appears that the design of the latch to hold it onto the Tesla plug is the same as the OG TeslaTap Mini. It even has the same hole for a padlock to secure it to the Tesla plug. Interestingly unlike the TeslaTap Mini it lacks a padlock hole for the latch to the CCS port. But I presume that's because cars latch the CCS plug to the car while charging (to prevent arcing, though not necessarily to prevent theft).

Nice. I think this is the first adapter with an anti-theft lock.
