Hi.
Is it possible to change the climate from 15 minutes to 30 minutes in FDRS or in other ways?

In FordPass 5.8.0, it gives you the ability to extend the climate time

No, it cannot be done on any model Ford to my knowledge. You can extend to 30 minutes, but it counts as 2 remote starts, and then you have to do a physical start.

FORScan allows you to enable capabilities, not change them past design.

What a shame, and thank you for replying?

Unfortunately sometimes ism late on time, and then the car has cooled down again, so I was a bit tired of having to remember to press again to get 15 more minutes.

It should be the owner who could set the desired value.

The time period should be between 15 minutes to a maximum of 1 hours.

Should there not be enough battery power (minimum 25%), the computer should notify the owner of this.

Just like with a petrol heater on petrol cars. They can also (or many of them) be set to run for a full hour. (and they don't even know the amount left in the tank)

Just hit extend from the get go. If you are less than 15 then you have no issue. Only issue is you can’t do another remote climate start if you do this. I only go this route when I know I am plus or minus a few minutes leaving like when getting grandkids out the door for school. Somehow that always takes more than 15 for some reason!

Ford has always been 15 max with one extend. Same on my 2013 F-150.

Agree. I understand that Ford wants to be conservative, but a bit more user options would not hurt. A other example to illustrate this; precondition on demand by the user and not the clunky NAV-forcing of it.

Yes, you have long been able to extend the air conditioning by up to 15 extra minutes.

But it should be us, as the owner of the car, who could choose this value, e.g. 30 minutes.

I think it's a bit strange that they have chosen to dictate this, when you can get up to 30 minutes in total by pressing one more time. (if you remember)

And now that there are so many things you can change in FDRS, it could be that this value could be changed - that's why I ask.
