The thread is literally titled "why is everyone upset?", but it's really just you not listening to why people are upset and telling them to be happy with what they have
Correct.

Who here has never even used blue cruise? ✋
I'm sure it has its uses, but I prefer to drive my cars.
I have never used it. It is not compatible with my GT-PE. ?‍♂?

I find the two-tone blue/black one more attractive. ?‍♂?
I'll be honest: When I saw it in person for the first time, it was a lot less ugly than what it looked like in pics. I am not saying I would take one over a Lightning.....I'm a blue-blooded Ford guy through and through.

I will say that any time someone has tried to trade one in to the store I work at, the appraisal came back at half of what they paid for it. Regardless of whether you think it's cool or not, that alone would make me run in the opposite direction.

I just want to rent one for one day.
Insured.
In Big Bend, by the way. ?

Seems like it would be a riot!

Thank you for starting another thread on this.

I’m upset about extending my subscription this past December based, in part, upon Ford’s multiple promises back in Summer 2023 that an upgrade to 1.3 (and now I can also share 1.4) was coming “in the coming weeks.” I’m now almost 1 year into my renewal and my 2021 (enrolled in EAP) has been moved to the back of the line, if ever. And now Ford is teasing a 1.5.

Meanwhile, the @Ford Motor Company AI bot pops into random threads to compliment people on their car pics, and that’s about it.

So yeah, I’m pissed.

When I pay for a software subscription I expect my software to be kept up to date.
--------------------------^^^^^^^^THIS ☝
I paid for a Premium MME to get the hardware base to support a finished software product that has never been delivered to this day despite so many messages and letters saying it's coming.

In the end, I found it more relaxing to only use lane centering and adaptive cruise control instead of BC 1.0 constantly disengaging, nagging me, and teasing a promise of what could be. I didn't subscribe in Dec'23 and am very please with that decision considering the outcome at this point. Looking back at the emails and postal letters over the course of the previous years it is actually insulting to me to be in this state even without having remitted a subscription in an otherwise desirable vehicle.

LOL I am not a Ford guy but I would soooooo much rather have an F150 Lightning. I have seen a few Cyber-Ughs in person. You’re right in that they aren’t quite as bad as they look in pix, but I still find them uglier than an Ass-tek (which used to be the ugliest thing on Earth). ??

I read more complaints these days about forum members being upset that their car does not have the latest and greatest version of BC, or that they are not satisfied with BC performance, or that they are frustrated that they have to frequently get rminders to put hands on the wheel, or whatever.

I have a 2021 Job 1 Premium with what I believe to be version 1.1 of BC (I can go hands-free in certain sections of highway.) My home office is 40-miles one way from my current project site. I drive there on US highways every other day, activating Cruise Control and letting BC keep me lane centered, and when it says "hands free" I relax my hands but keep them on the wheel. Not because I don't trust the system, but because I am old and I think driving a car means driving the car. I have experimented with letting the system slow me and come to a stop when traffic backs up, but I don't like it, because again I am the driver I want to drive. BC works fine for me. I have no complaints. And you know what, if the whiz-bang auto-lane-change and latte-dispenser feature gets pushed to my car I do not think i will ever use it. Because I like driving.

It's other drivers I don't trust, not the MME or BC.
You will be shocked to know that when pilots fly planes they dont keep their hands on the yoke all the time. There is more to flying, or driving, than hand position, i propose.

My 2022 upgraded to BC 1.3 in September. While I was a Blue Cruise enthusiast before, I really love the latest updates.

A couple weeks ago I took a road trip from LA to Sacramento to see the Tesla/Fuel show at Thunder Valley and could not have been happier with the performance.

i love the car and Blue Cruise is a key part of that.

Thanks for your post.

Maybe if you guys really want someone to drive for you, just get an uber or take a bus.

/sarcasm

The only thing I use is adaptive cruise, and it can also be annoying. (slows down too fast,) Lane centering and most of the nannies are all shut off. Too much construction around here. Lots of "ghost" lines and such that confuse the car. Also, I don't like fighting with the car. I'm the driver.

I can understand its helpfulness on long trips. However, with these cars, you will be stopping every 3-4 hours anyways.

I'm driving in my car, I turn on the radio (Brucie)
I'm ridin' in your car, you turn on the radio (Sisters pointing)
DON'T KISS - FIRE: probably what caused that dumpster thing
Watch out for the god of hell fire, he'll bring you FIRE (Art. B.) just the same

I still try to have fun riding, yes actually me driving, in my MME, after all these years with all these trials and tribulations........usually accompanied by apple music(radio is dead, as is the eight track, and I am unable to fit the CDs in the damn slot).
