I bought the TWRAPS charger also with high hopes. While it doesn’t make my phone hot, it still doesn’t really give me much charge. I gave up all together and plug my phone in. The cable just works, every time, and is fast.

Yah sadly I bring a portable Anker quick charger on longer trips. I put it on top of the storage underneath the center arm rest. The only thing I put on the wireless pad are my ear buds (in their case). And that is just a token gesture. I don't really expect them to gain a meaningful charge.

Interesting that the implementation sounds just as bad across other makes and models. Luckily, wireless charging was not on my must have list when car shopping.

Are you charging on the USB-A or USB-C? If on the A, try on the C, that will be a lot more powerful than the A.
