original build date week of December 13th. New build date Jan 6th.
I received an email today stating that the delivery will be on time, as expected between 21st and 27th Feb.
Very similar dates for me - originally scheduled week of 13th, actually built jan 6th, and I got the email yesterday morning that it shipped on the 15th with a delivery of feb 17th-23rd to NJ. Our cars might be train buddies. What ship date did they give you?

No, my comments are absolutely not attempting to insinuate that. I'm stating factually that there is *a* stop ship on *some* Mach-Es, which is why Ford's statement is borderline lying, and that bothers me. I want 100% transparency as to why my car stopped shipping, kinda like a... "stop ship" even, not this spin.

No they’re not fixing this or no this isn’t an issue?
Sorry. That was a partial comment I didn't mean to push out.

Congratulations to timbop and kgautam28. But you realize your pouring salt in wounds by posting that to this thread, right?

It's gotta be the charging issue. The only other issue that keeps popping up in reviews is laggy touchscreen, but they wouldn't have delayed delivery for that.
They would not hold up deliveries if the touchscreen lag was due to a software glitch, however, they would hold it up if the lag was caused by a faulty component not performing up to spec.

Probably because that’s what Ford has been doing so far. Given what we know at this point (not a whole lot honestly), we know they need to run a series of tests over a given period of time. That may be a day or two (speculation alert!). If so, and your car passes, off it goes. Delayed again but not 8 weeks worth. If it fails, software reload? patch? Part? And off it goes. The latter case is longer of course, but the former is more likely.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed anyway.
Seems logical, I guess.

To me this sounds like a software issue. With cars all over the place, it would be hard (and expensive) to just recall them back to Mexico. As stated, they may be sending teams to holding locations to do the fixes which could still be software and not hardware. My take.
I do not think that in the age of OTA updates software would hold up a shipment (as long as a fix existed).

Not to add to the agony of us all waiting on the car but here is my take.

I had scheduled build date of week of February 22. That was shown on Ford account until last afternoon. Now there is no date. This makes me believe that production of vehicles has stopped. So this is most likely hardware issue and not software. Let's just hope it is not big of a deal and it is something that they can address in short manner.

If it is shown to be big issue might have to go with competitors car.
Mine is still showing scheduled for week of 1/24/2021

Before you do a ÔTA update, you need to gather as mush info as possible on the problem. This might be why they are holding up some vehicles.

Stupid public affairs / legal language that doesn't explain anything! You would think Ford would be a little more forthcoming with their dealers, but perhaps not.
I don't think they would. With no public reason, the spin is that the delay is due to Ford's commitment to quality. If they gave a reason, the Tesla people would all be saying "You cannot take Ford EV's seriously, they can't even get the <fill in the blank> right."

Actually most of us are still in the discovery phase, trying to figure out exactly which (group of) vehicles were affected and which weren’t. I think many of us appreciate the information even if it means some delayed owners unfortunately have to watch other owners receive their cars on time.

The fact that some folks are still on schedule is reassuring that hopefully the number of cars delayed is like 1-5% of the total cars ordered. If it turns out the delay affects 30%+ of total orders it could be bad for Ford with cancellations but we still don’t have enough data to give us the scale of the delay.

Right. Don't get me wrong. I'm extremely frustrated and pissed that my car is delayed up to 8 weeks for what Tru says is "nothing major" (um, ok). On the other hand, I'm very happy for the others on here that are still getting their cars on schedule. Even if it means cars built AFTER mine are delivered quicker. I'm not a vindictive person. I offer my congrats -- and continue to be pissed.

Only if it’s related to software or battery. If it’s anything else, Tesla fans don’t have a leg to stand on... especially not since Ford is fixing the problem before it’s shipped, the opposite of what Tesla do. I believe it’s related to quality control as they say. They should just tell us, fix it and get on with it... but they’re not, so my guess is it’s being kept ambiguous on Darren Palmers orders... lol.
