I have just purchased a 2022 Mach e AWD and the dealer, despite advertising the car for sale with the (Active Park Assist) I can't get it to work and now the dealer is telling me that the vehicle doesn't have this feature. Has anyone else experienced this problem..?

Park assist was discontinued sometime after the 2021 model year due to parts shortages. Some 2022 cars had the feature, but most did not. Using the button should only bring up a list on your screen of nearby parking spaces.

Frankly, you’re not missing much with park assist. If your car has the 360 cameras, you can do better yourself, and faster. I never use the feature on my 2021 car. Never.

It was discontinued in the March/April 22 MY timeframe I believe. I have it in my Jan 22 but have never used it. At one point Ford made it seem like they would provide the missing module but then it was just deleted.

I have it and I use it very rarely. It showed a lot of promise so, of course, ford did the smart thing and discontinued it instead of making it better.

Park Assist, so the Ford dealer who sold me the 2022 Mach-e has said he is very sorry for advertising the v3hicle for sale with Park Assist, only to find out having pick3d up the car last week, that in fact, it does not have Park Assist and the Dealer wants to know how he can resolve this issue to my satisfaction.
Should I accept it as an honest error and settle for a set of Mustang Door Mats, or give the car back and walk away from the deal based on misrepresentaion and false advertising.
What would you do if you paid market price for your Mach-e as advertised with Park Assist, only to find this major feature was not actualy available on the vehicle..??

Did you buy the car because of Park Assist? If not, I certainly wouldn't walk away. Ask for some accessory you've been eyeing or see if they'll throw you an extended warranty.

By the way (not that it matters), in the 3 years that I owned the Mach-E, I used Park Assist exactly zero times.

Myself, I would not want Mustang door mats. Floormats, maybe....

You bought a new 2022 in 2024?

Many people in the US (I see you are in Germany) got their ORDERED 2022s with features remove that they expected in the vehicle. Myself, while Park Assist worked (it's useless by the way), my kick sensor didn't (despite being installed). I turned it on with FORScan.

Four floor mats plus the back hatch mat, would be fair.

I assumed my vehicle had it just because Ford left the giant P button after it was removed.

But after learning more about it, it has very limited usage and isn’t really what I would want in a park assist anyway.

Totally would take free weather mats.

I think they gave a 325 credit for not including park assist. So ask for a equal value to that.

I've used Park Assist twice -- to try it out. After finding out how slow and scary it was I decided I'd just park myself.

Take the Mustang Floor Mats!

I had a 2021 GT with Park Assist. I used it once to see how it works and never again. If you like the car, take the floor mats. I certainly won’t miss it in my 2024 GT. ?‍♂?

Exactly This. I have it, tried it once and never again.

And while I’m not excusing the dealer making this mistake, it’s an easy mistake to make. It got removed halfway during a model year due to chip shortages and park assist is far from a core feature.

To walk away from the car because it doesn’t have park assist means you either secretly hate the car or you’ve never tried park assist.

What would Judge Judy do?

I’d ask for mats and ceramic wrap. Go high and negotiate ?

Either way keep the car
