Anyone try to manually add a service record to your Ford account recently?

Just completed my 20k mile "service" today and wanted to add a note to the car in my Ford account and it keeps erroring.

I've refreshed. I've tried again later. I've tried another browser. Same thing. I'm assuming this is a Ford problem, but just curious if anyone else had tried recently and ran into the same thing. I've still added the info to my own spreadsheet for my records, but will eventually want to add it to the Ford record too.

Last time I tried to add something I had to fill out the cost cell that I initially left blank. then it worked

I've refreshed. I've tried again later. I've tried another browser. Same thing. I'm assuming this is a Ford problem, but just curious if anyone else had tried recently and ran into the same thing. I've still added the info to my own spreadsheet for my records, but will eventually want to add it to the Ford record too.
I just checked on Windows 10/Firefox and it looks like I could save the record.
What are you using?

Windows 11. Chome. Also tried Edge. I even have my ad-blocking off, since every once in a while that can interfere with something.

And I haven't left anything blank. I did see a different error when I didn't select something in the "services" section, but this isn't that.

OK, it has something to do with the Notes field. And it must just have some ridiculously minimal character limit. I'm testing it now. But I was able to add a record with no notes - but then what's the point if it doesn't say what was actually done? It's not like any of the checkboxes are helpful at all.

I'm under 200 characters now and it still won't accept it. Maybe 100 character limit?

I got it down to 137 characters and it saved. So maybe 150 character limit?

How dumb. That's like 1/5th the text box size too. What's the point?

I have not tried to add records manually. But what happened to me is the very few dealer entered service records I had disappeared.

(The disappearance occurred, I think, following a dealer visit to fix Blue Cruise not working because of some sort of issue with the driver facing camera and lane centering. That’s a whole other story but I’ll mention that ACC and lane centering work.)

I have been in contact with Ford about the disappeared records. I was told I am not the only one who has had the problem. Supposedly my case has been escalated although I’ve not heard anything in a couple of weeks. It’s probably low on someone’s priority list. I need to get back to them and see if a solution is “coming soon”.

Are your service records in Carfax? My Toyota and now Ford dealer services have always reflected in Carfax. If so you could at least have that as proof.

Some, if not all in carfax. I also have hard copies of the service papers from the dealer service. I have the full record. TBH, the disappeared service history is something I’ve allowed to aggravate me versus being a serious issue?

Does this also update service history in FordPass?

One service has wrong mileage and two are missing altogether!

I just had 20K service done last week and was able to add a service entry with no problem.

Yes, it's the same. You can either do it through Ford.com or through the app.
