The front fell off
Sponsored
This one actually had me laughing out loud, I think I startled the dog!The front fell off
It was Torque News, probably, and I think the dealer that relayed that speculation to the article author (Jimmy Dinsmore) picked up his idea from my post in this very thread:I was just reading about this on the Internet and the article said they thought it is a software issue. I donāt know why OTA updates canāt take care of problem if this was true. They thought a drivers assist program. I wish I could remember the source but I canāt right now.
Since you are probably correct, I don't know whether to laugh, cry, or just shake my headMost Mach-E news originates here at this forum.
And the best thing of all is when it starts from this very discussion thread!

Just looked at your post. Irreversible brain damage? That would be scary if true.It was Torque News, probably, and I think the dealer that relayed that speculation to the article author (Jimmy Dinsmore) picked up his idea from my post in this very thread:

I think you answered it. If it was something that could be done via OTA updates or software related then it would be addressed that way.I was just reading about this on the Internet and the article said they thought it is a software issue. Wow, thanks.I think you answered it. If it was something that could be done via OTA updates or software related then it would be addressed that way.
Without saying too much, I think you can deduce that the quality check process requires physical access to the vehicle. Not saying the check requires parts or repairs, just that they obviously need the vehicle in order to do the quality check.
No problem.Wow, thanks.
Not challenging you. But asking wouldnāt an OTA software update require acceptance /confirmation by someone physically in each vehicle? Or require each vehicle had been āset upā and opted into the OTA process.? So still require a lot of door opening and time in the seat. Easier done withe the cars in the same place.I think you answered it. If it was something that could be done via OTA updates or software related then it would be addressed that way.

oh, that's not a thought I had, about opting-in to OTA. Do we know if that's the case, that the owner needs to opt-in to OTA on delivery? because if so that would 100% explain why someone had to touch them and would be a completely reasonable explanation.Wouldnāt an OTA update require acceptance /confirmation by someone physically in each vehicle?
