Interesting. So when you turn on cruise control do you get the blue bubble (round blue lines) around the car icon still?

Yes, I still get the blue bubble. I went out and tested it. All original functionality when I first bought the car in 2021 is still intact. Now I just don't have to stare at that stupid car in the middle of the screen for no reason anymore when cruise control and lane keeping assist is off

@Electric Goat So glad this helped you! Now my interest is piqued though since I don't think my lane keep works on the highway. Is there anything different you did compared to the steps in the original guide post?

Also back when I posted this I was on 6.8.0 and am now on 10.1.1, I'm curious if it was fixed by Ford. I should flip the bit back and check.

Won't have time to do a casual cruise vid for a few days but here's it written out

1. Get onto interstate
2. Press cruise control button
3. Set speed
4. Press Lane keep assist button
5. Blue bubble appears
6. Win ?
7. Test lane keep (safely) to verify & certify the win.

If this is really such an easy fix, you have to wonder why Ford hasn't sent out an OTA update yet.

From the sounds of it even a small fix can take months to move through the process. So I’m sure they are waiting until they have a bunch of fixes, or more likely, need to update the IPC for some other reason.

My car was sold without the necessary hardware for BC, sadly (I grabbed my car after the couple who ordered it rejected the car saying "It's just way too fast!"....sales people forgot to show them Whisper mode.. haha). I'd hoped to add it after the fact but learned that the needed wiring harnesses were deleted from cars like mine - oh well!

I will be testing the car more properly shortly, but I expect to have a similar experience to what @Electric Goat posted, since our cars seem to be similarly configured

I've got BlueCruise 1.3, and although I always use the driver assist I'm curious whether or not this mod will affect it. I may try applying this over the weekend and if so I'll post the results.
