Clockwork, I can actually confirm your data. My friend has a Chargepoint charger and an Ioniq 5 (11.5 kw onboard charger). The output from the charger (not stats on the car) shows a consistent 11.3 kw (with small variation) and a stable ~240v with 1 or 2 volt variance. The Mach E shows a consistent 10.8 kw (small variation) with the same stable voltage.

It looks like the 2024's definitely have a lower 11 kw onboard charger compared to the 11.5 kw from previous years. My guess, as to why? Probably to cut cost. Either they selected cheaper on purpose or their new manufacture can only makes 11 kw onboard chargers.

0.24 KV (240V) x 48 amp = 11.5 KW. At 90% efficiency it would be 10.4 KW into the car. You should not expect too much more with a 48 amp charger. I would say around 10 KW is what you should expect. At 10 Kw it would take around 8.5 hours to charge 10 to 100%. That should be fast enough for anyone that sleeps.

Yeah my Tesla universal wall connector shows 10.8 - 10.9kw while the ford pass shows 10kw - 10.2kw. It’s just that ford has flipped back and forth with the 10.5kw and 11kw onboard chargers. I agree though, in the grand scheme of things it won’t make a difference. I have charged from about 20% to about 90% in approximately 6.25hrs.

I suspect that nothing has changed in the car. Ford started calling it 10.5 to reduce the number of people complaining about not getting the full 11. Just speculation on my part.
