A thought: Autohold is redundant if you use 1-pedal drive.

I love 1-pedal drive, and it's always on in my car. As a part of that feature, the autohold becomes meaningless except when put into neutral, and let's face it, if you're putting it into neutral, you probably don't want the autohold, so just turn it off permanently (again assuming you're using 1-pedal drive). You won't have to worry about pushing that L button on the gear selector again.

That’s not 100% correct. True, that if you use 1PD, auto hold is redundant. I turned mine off and use 1PD all the time. However, if you want to get out of your car and have it still be in neutral, you still have to select “L” after selecting “N.” Otherwise, it goes back to park.

I agree with you. I find much on the Forum to be super helpful, but I'm not a fan of those who have way more technical knowledge than I or who seem to read every post and then chastise me if I make a comment or ask a question without reviewing the entire forum first. If you've seen the info in a post before or know the answer, please understand we wouldn't ask or post if we knew it had been addressed before. No one is trying to waste anyone's time. These cars are complicated and often confusing and all the support we can give one another is appreciated. Just "be kind".....
As the OP, I agree with your post but will take it a small step further. When I started this thread it was because I had seen the instructions for doing just what I needed but I will be damned if I could find the appropriate post.
Given the title of the thread, the next person in my spot will likely have a much more productive experience with the search function.
