so..... I got tired of all the creative answers, and scrolled to the last page to ask if anyone ever found out what the REAL reason was for the delay/recall ?

Mostly just wondering if Ford will also send out an Email when they've gone thru all recalled vehicles and resume 'normal' shipping. My car apparently was caught while on the lot as I didn't get a ship date or an email; so I'm sifting around for news on when shipping may resume.

They're wrong. The problem was discussed elsewhere anyway and not on the "wrong answers" thread.

I wish! I heard a few reviewers complain about this. If a car this costly doesn’t have the ability to tilt/rock the driver seat, so as to support the leg better? That’s crazy stupid. Sorry, no tilt is just - yah - a stupid call by someone and a horrible approval by so mid-level manager, and a stupid sign off by the PM, and blah, blah, blah, rinse and repeat up the food chain...

My 2012 Explorer has great seats and awesome tilt, even better than my Stinger GT (tilt only - Stinger has awesome seats).

I confirm that concerns! The seats are confortable but that bothered me when I drove it. I’m 6’2”, I was ok but the seat was at the lowest and the farthest. I wanted to tilt the seat. The seat is more comfortable than the Model Y but my driving position was better in the Model Y.

The factory got the specs for the Mustang GT500 board mistake and put 5.2 liter 760 hp V-8s in the Mach-e. Ford is trying to retrofit a gas tank into the Frunk. They’re hoping nobody notices by putting fake EV sounds instead of real V-8 noise.

The inverse is also true. The 2021 GT500 has 2 motors, a gas tank and a single 12 volt battery. Those are being shipped to Louisville for installation of an extra battery.

After a report that one of the cars found a large supply of Ford's chips in the Frunk of two Mach Es, all cars are being inspected on suspicion of chip smuggling. So far, only the cars with dip in the Frunk have been found.

A box of 300 pony emblems was found in a corner of the assembly line and someone realized that 300 cars were missing one of the 19 pony emblems. All cars then are being inspected and all emblems carefully counted. Ford will not deliver any Mach-E's that only have 18 ponies. The box was then shipped to KC by train, but it will take several weeks for all the emblems on every car to be counted.
