Yea but it's very random, Ive sent them the TSB but we will see this time, it is not always a bump literally could be the smallest bump or a big bump. It is hard to replicate.
The coax is 99.9% your problem. Don’t take no for an answer. That’s why Ford issued that TSB.

How much is it likely to cost out of warranty?
The dealership has had my car for 2 weeks working on this issue labor they said was 10.5 hours + parts. They say it should be done next week.

Update this was the coax cable on my car. The thing that's concerning is I brought the car in for this before and they didn't fix it.

That's what they told me. The extended time is we had to wait for parts and I was out of town so they kept the car. I can post the repair ticket when completed. But you may not have the same issue as me.

I did buy the extended warranty so it's covered.

I had the extended warranty... but it ran out already.

Sorry for the late reply, they said they were replacing the IPMA module, no clue if theyre using the old coaxial cables. Funny enough the loaner they gave me also got the error message for the slightest second this morning. No clue what the cost is but will also post when I get it back.

So labor was $1400, but I still had some warranty, there was no cost to the module. Total out of cost was $100 plus tax

My 21 is currently at the dealer waiting on a resolution for this same exact issue. They said they performed the coax cable TSB to no avail, and are now waiting on some replacement part from Ford. I just told them this has been happening repeatedly whenever I hit road bumps, particularly on highways.

They also did a bunch of software updates to bring my BC up to the 1.4 beta, but who knows if they enabled it correctly. Won't be able to verify until that part (whatever it is) is replaced.
Just to follow up here, my car is STILL at the dealer, but there's light at the end of the tunnel! They did the part replacement (some camera sensor on the front?), then had trouble communicating with the car or something, and needed a field service engineer to help them. Finally this week they said they needed a different kit for the TSB, sent me photos of the backseats fully removed so they could redo some wiring with the back left side of the trunk. Supposedly everything's put back together now, and they want to drive it to verify everything's good before I can pick it up.

It'll have been at the dealer for just over 7 weeks. I'm still under the CPO warranty, and I've got the extended kicking when that expires soon. No idea what the cost is, but seems they spent WAYYY more than 10.5 hours on this thing.

My car was in for the HVBJB recall and this issue in Nov. It took them 3 weeks of trouble shooting after replacing the coax (TSB), then they replaced the IPMA. The messages have continued since then, it fails on every drive. It is back in at the dealer, has been there three days this time, and no word yet. I think the camera itself is the issue.

And I just got the update to BC 1.3, but no way to even try it. As soon as I engaged cruise control, I get the camera fault.

Yeah, definitely check the “easy stuff” first.

Is the camera dirty?

These errors seem to pop up more frequently in the winter if people are driving on dirty/muddy roads.
Also, ensure air conditioning is turned on, condensation inside screen where you can’t see up behind mirror housing in front of camera mists up when I get this message and 5mins or so with aircon resolves this and also the dynamic cruise which also turns off when this happens.

Okay, saga over. Finally got my car back. Root cause: had to replace the IPMA camera, as per the final steps of the TSB, after replacing all the coax cables and finding the connectors secure. They did extended test drives (I saw 10+ miles on my odometer) to verify the codes didn't come back.

Matches everything I saw in that TSB thread. They also sent me photos of all the panels open, which matches the photos from 360alaska as well.

……..or due to condensation especially if a/con not turned on drying the air in cabin.

Mine is still random, but few. I can punch the roof and cause it. I'm not in a hurry to hand the car over while they fiddle around for days on end. Maybe when I head to Maui next month they can have my car for a while.
