That is the power supply I used when updating the IPMA/PSCM combo. Kept the car happy during the 3 hour FDRS session.
Can it be used as just a simple battery charger too apart from a power supply? How would one do that and how would you know when it is fully charged?

This one the Pyramid PSV500 lets you go from 12 to 15 Volts. I have seen other people here mention this one! Anyone here actually have this and use it? Curious if it's any good.

I have used this model multiple times and it has worked great during FDRS sessions on both my MME and Lightning.

I set output to 13.7 VDC with a multimeter before connecting to the battery.

It will charge the battery at this voltage but I wouldn't recommend using it as a "battery charger".

Hello,
I just plugged in my Mongoose and ran FDRS for the first time.
The first thing I did was clear the DTCs, but it seems like the IPMA is still orange and won’t turn green (I tried 2-3 times)

My plan is to update GWM, TCU, IPC, and APIM for now.
Is there anything I can do to fix it? Can I still run the other module updates while the IPMA is orange?
Thanks!

I would like to buy a Power Supply, can anyone tell me if THIS is good for the LVB?
Thanks
12 Volt is deceptive. It actually is a 13.5 volt regulated power supply that is needed. Keeping a tight voltage with varying amps is why a good power supply is so costly.
What you are looking at is just a momentary 50 amps, but the voltage would drop drastically, and trip out during a longer high current draw.

On all major releases like this one, remember to tick the box to 'remove user data' during setup, or you might end up with some strange results the next time you try to use the program.

Hi, I want to ask for your help again to get a power supply for FDRS updates.
This (EU version) gives 40A max with adjustable Voltage max 15V, can it supply enough power for long updates?
Thanks

Is it rated 40 amp continuous or max?

The description says adjustable current 0-40A, should be continuous.

Getting the below error when trying to update multiple modules (PCM, BECM, SOBDM, SOBDMC). Update doesn't complete, but the module disappears from the SW Updates tab.

Any ideas?

Restart the laptop and scan the car again.
