Hello
I know that AOSK sells some plastic ones that screw and tape on that have very mixed reviews; most of them are negative.

Is there a way to order the part number for the front door handles, that appear to be metallic, and screw them in the rear doors?
There is a screw under the trim of the back doors, and HOPEFULLY, the front ones will fit on the rear doors? It looks like they should fit.

It might be possible to modify the rear doors to fit the front door handle but it would not just be something you can attach. First, there is no door trim under the front handle so on the rear door, you would have to remove at least 3" of trim before attaching the handle. Second there are two studs/nuts on the handle. One is exposed on the under edge of the door, the other one is inside the door. You would need to take the door panel off, window regulator out and not sure what else to get up in there to attach the interior nut. Then of course there are the two holes you have to drill and make sure to paint them so they don't rust.

Thanks as always Mark.
Upon quick glance, it looked like the front one could just lay on top and screw in, like the one sold by @AOSK.

Your accurate description sounds too cumbersome, and why didn't Ford add them at the factory??? Two pieces of metal that cost 36 cents each.

Ford stated when the Mach-E was announced the rear doors did not have handles for aerodynamics. The reason the front's have handles is the rear view mirrors block the air flow to those handles. I might not be using the correct terms but you get the idea. At least that is what Ford was telling us.

Thank makes sense.
That little metal can be so disruptive to airflow?? Wow. Perhaps so.

I bought the door handles for the entrance door online. They are well made and really very practical.
I don't believe in fairy tales about improving aerodynamics :) the goal was to "hide" the rear doors so it would look like a two-door coupe :)

Thank you
Which ones did you buy, from the 1st Polish page or the 2nd link? And are they metallic or thick plastic?

I know that argument but i don“t agree at all with it, they are talking in less 1km in 500?

If Ford thought the backdoors were fine without handles, I wonder why they bothered to put them on the front. If the front door was designed to allow the front handles to be removed I would remove them.

Ford's analytics confirmed that the handles were used more often on their front doors than the rear in their pre-production Mach-E, so they removed it from the rear.

They also confirmed from their analytics that drivers never used the mechanical lock to open and lock the doors so they removed that as well.

The above is in no way true (I sincerely hope not) and said with very heavy sarcasm.

They aren’t necessary since there are grab pads on the rear doors and they would have caused aerodynamic disturbances. Also, to be honest, it gives the vehicle a cleaner, more modern look.

Actually, there IS a gain of truth there. Ford found that children are more likely to ride in the back of the vehicle and it was actually easier for children to open the door by grabbing the grab pad, than to reach up for a handle. In the end, there were a number of good reasons for not just slapping the door handles from a 1968 galaxie on the vehicle and calling it a day:

Canine with a little bit of an aero education here. What @markboris recollected about what Ford said is true. What Ford said is also true. The front door handles reside in the shadow of the mirrors at normal highway speeds, so there is very little penalty to their location. If there were rear door handles in the upper rear edge of the door panels, they would not be in the shadow of the mirrors, making their impact greater at highway speeds. Yes, the full impact is small, but don’t forget that there are a lot of people who care about the last tiny bit of range they can get. I am not one of them, but I am in the minority. Those people’s opinions on the car probably count for more than mine in this respect. ??

@Jimrpa also brings up a good point about Ford’s studies about children not using handles and using the grab pad as well. ??

You may have a point.
While my first thought was to add one so that one can grab something, but NOT seeing a handle has a certain sexiness and clean look to it; my daughter thinks the car is sexy, and calls it the Sexy Douche Mobile.
