Pretty sure the 2023 select 72kwh LFP cars can only do 115kw. Have to bump up o the premium car to get the faster charging
That may be true. Check your window sticker.

The 2023.5 Select and SR Premium have the exact same LFP battery, which suggests they should have the same charging speed.

That would be interesting, but I just looked at some 2023 window stickers and both the premiums and the selects SR say up to 150kw. Maybe this was a typo for 2023.

This is why I made this exact thread. It is listed as 150kw in the ford tech specs for 2023.

It's also possible InsideEVs missed on that part of the story.

Can you find someplace that Ford states 150kW charging for LFPs?
My Mach E std. range with LFP battery was build in July 2023 and my window sticker list DC 150 KW

My 23 Premium says 150. I have not seen it go above 125 I think.

You won't see much higher than 125 with the 150kW charger.

A relative of mine recently bought a used '23 Select with the 72kW SR LFP battery, and the window sticker also confirms it has a 150kW onboard charger. This seems to be a change that Ford made in the right direction when they switched to the LFP battery in the Standard Range models.

There is no “onboard charger” for DC charging. The car sends a control signal to the external charger that is used to set the rate.

My 2024 Select AWD LFP (Canadian model) says 115kw on the window sticker.

I think the vehicle was build around Oct 2024, the date on the bottom of the window stickers is Dec 2nd 2024. (downloaded directly off the ford.ca website)

I've only DC charged once and the battery was around 5c when i rolled up. I remember it hit a little over 70kw charging speed.

2023 Mach E Premium
We have a 2022 MachE Premium RWD with the extended range battery, and we regularly see peak charge of 150-160kw, it doesn't hang out there that long, maybe 2-3 minutes then slowly ramps down - but it will hold 100kw for most of the charge session (to 80%). That is of course providing the charger is capable of doing it, which is the harder part - a lot of chargers around here simply don't do it.

We've had the best luck at Tesla stations. Or the big 350+ stations when they are empty. We stopped at an FPL station on the Turnpike the other day and we never made it past 60kw despite the station having 2 350kw chargers and 2 200kw chargers.
