The Genesis GV60 Performance was the right replacement for me but I can easily live with the 235 EPA range, which disqualifies it based on your 250 requirement.

Things I gained in order of importance: ride quality, V2L 120v, audio quality, more physical controls, performance, luxury features.

Things I lost that weren't important to me: range, frunk space, cargo space, hands-free highway cruise (but it's superior in other ways to the BlueCruise 1.0).

Things I miss that are somewhat important:

Will not precondition cabin on schedule unless plugged in.
Will not heat seats as part of preconditioning cabin or remote starting.
I preferred the thermal coating on the Mach E's glass roof to the electric shade on the GV60's.

Dice rolls:

12v battery issues (GV60 is more convenient to jump though my Mach E never had a 12v issue.)

HVBJB vs. ICCU failure (have not had issues with either)

Software reliability.

The GM platform cars (Lyriq, Blazer, MDX, Prologue) are all just a bit to wide for my garage otherwise I'd absolutely consider them.

I have at least two more years with the GV60 and then I'll reassess with my future garage and financial situation.

Blazer SS. Looks are subjective, but I think it looks pretty good.

I know this is a subjective thing. And, yes I've seen all the reviewers gushing over it......That said, a f--ing 3 row Mom Car? If I had my way, I'd prefer the Lucid Guys would have put all there cool tech and knowledge in something like the Blazer SS. Or the MME for that matter. Something that appeals to us (the MME crowd).......I guess I'm not Lucid's demographic but if that was a two row auto (and I was willing to pay that much); I'd be more interested. But 3 row Mom-Car.......I'll sit that one out.
Lucid, the Buick of the EV world. They actually drive well but frumpy AF to look at.

Car and Driver has it ranked 4th in it's class without looking at something like a Porsche (3rd? are the 2 Ioniq's really different cars? The GT does not appear as a separate car in the list).

I think it is interesting to note the top 4 all have pretty distinctive styling and given the choice of those 4 I would still personally lean MME.

I forgot to mention that I miss the exterior styling of the Mach E compared to my GV60. I still think the Mach E is the best looking of the bunch.

Yeah weird that they separate the 5N. Plus the Kia and Hyundai are basically the same car just in a different skin so the MME is realistically #2 ?

I think the MME is still the best overall package for styling and performance and range today in that price range, which is why I have one on order.

Other than the 800V architecture and faster fast charging speeds, there’s nothing else that’s really compelling to me with the Hyundai/Kia.

The only drawback on the MME is just the laggy Sync4A system which just feels last generation compared to current competitor infotainment systems. It’s acceptable, but would be much better with a faster processor.

Interesting how "Charging Speed" was not on the OP's list of requirements for a competitor

I drove a Blazer AWD and then an Equinox back to back. The blazer felt rushed, lots of oddities compared to the Equinox, but that felt smaller/slower then my AWD SR Mache. I think the extra time spent on the Equinox really shows, its a better car then the blazer IMO.

Maybe not as significant if you can change at home and majority of travel is local?

if no money issue there are EVs that better than Mach-E: Lucid, Porsha, Mercedes EQE and etc
if money matters: I believe it was only 2 cars until 2025 model: MY and MME.
2025 changed frunk size (super small) than MME competing with HI5, ID.4 and EV6 :(

What’s available in the EV SUV/CUV space that’s actually better than my 2021 First Edition?

Money is no option, but it does have to meet the following minimum criteria…
1. At least 250 miles highway range.
2. 0-60 in under 5 seconds.
3. Some form of hands-free driving, at least on the highways.
4. SUV/CUV
5. Not look like ass. Yes, I know this is subjective to a point, but we all know the Model Y is a frumpy bubble, etc. I’m disqualifying anything with a bubble or wedge-shaped profile or with a stubby front end.

This is not rhetorical. I am not a car guy. I honestly can’t come up with something clearly better to upgrade to, even if I did have the money. I’d be interested in your opinions. What’s the dream car?

Maybe the Rivian R1S?
Mercedes. EQB, EUE, EQS, all come in SUV models that I like look pretty nice. I believe the large battery is 20% larger than the Ford extended range.

And you buy the meybach EQS, that's got a 4.1 0-60. Or the AMG EQE SUV, with 3.4 sec 0-60. You did say money was no object, I think the AMG starts at $150k. I saw an EQS AMG on the road last week (sedan form, not SUV form, that's the EQE vs EQS).

While I like the looks of the Ioniq, I guess you like the swoopier styles, the Mercedes has closer to the looks of the MacheE. It's got a very classic mercedes look that's pretty tight.

Mercedes hands-free is called "drive pilot". It's "supposed" to be ahead of BlueCruise / SuperCruise in being L3 certified, but a quick web search says maybe it's not available on EQE, only EQS? And fewer US roads? You can research that.

Imho, putting restrictions like "frunk" etc etc means you're just biased to the MME you already own. There's 30 parameters and you're dialing MME's, every car has some plusses and minuses.

I certnaly can't prioritize sub-5 second 0-60. Generally, we'll find EVs are going to *decrease* in speed, because insurance, because the mass market would prefer lower price. Realistically I'm still JUST FINE with my RWD because of the mad torque of an ev, even the RWD is quick enough for me. I'm still happy with the better range I (may or may not) get.

I don't know if there's anything else I would buy compared to the MME right now. I agree it's not obvious - Android Auto is a deal breaker for me, which might put me in a Honda, I'd also look at the latest Ioniq rev.

I really like the color range of the MME (american cars generally have a wide color pallete) but I'd also consider a wrap for the right car. For example. Color was *a* factor when I was choosing Ioniq vs MME in late 22.

I probably could have explained my query better… My son asked me the other day “what’s your dream car?” Well, I want an EV SUV/CUV. And I honestly couldn’t think of one that was clearly better than my First Edition.

The Kia and Hyundai offerings have some nice benefits such as 800v charging, but overall seem like lateral moves at best. There’s nothing about those exteriors or interiors or overall specs that screams “dream car.”

I also wouldn’t trade up to the MME GT because just too much of a range hit (I actually need that extra 30mi in the Midwest).

So I’m really looking for “money is no object” dreams cars that are plainly superior to the MME in virtually every way.

So far, the Macan Turbo would make that list. I’m guessing some of the Mercedes you listed, too, although the alphabet soup of model naming gets confusing to me.

Money no object? Buy a GT, then have a more advanced battery fit into it to give it 400 miles of range, and also improve the charging curve.
