Just in case anyone's interested:
At 31000 miles, my OEM Michelins had 4/32" tread left and I had my dealer (Robert Horne Ford in Apache Junction) install new Hankook Ion EVO AS tires at the OEM size. The all-in cost with mounting, balance, sales tax and state environmental tax was $1228. While a ten-mile ride home is far too little to make any meaningful judgement, the initial impression is these tires are significantly quieter than the OEMs were. I will report later if there are any noticeable range, ride or noise changes after driving a few miles.

I replaced my OEMs at 30k miles with these, they have been on just over a year now and are great. I think they were better in winter a bit but cant recall. I have 18k miles on them, no issues yet.

In a couple months I'm planning to get the same tires at about the same mileage, though I think my OEM tires are going to be bald by then lol. Yay for somewhere that doesn't rain in the summer. I'm curious what you find the range impact to be.

I’ve had mine in for roughly a year as well. Absolutely no issues with them. No range hit that I can see and a bit quieter imo than the OEM tires.

Like others I havent noticed a range hit. I would buy these again, likely over the factory tires.

That's interesting because it means the Hankooks actually have lower rolling resistance than the OEM tires. Worn tires are lower than new, so usually on a direct replacement there is a bit of range loss.

No range hit that I’ve noticed doesn’t necessarily mean no range hit. It can mean that the range hit is small, that we didn’t notice it due to just how small it is, that our powers of observation are sorely lacking, or perhaps all of these. ;)

curious about the handling of them compared to say, the OEM GT Continental crosscontact RX tires. I like the idea of a range boost, but not at the cost of a soft sidewall and/or poor handling characteristics.

Nice you are happy. I will be needing tires soon. I will buy from my Ford dealer. I can trust them to jack the car up properly. Also, I'm happy with these guys and I want to show some loyalty.

Two questions.......

Did you compare prices between your Ford dealer and a local tire shop? If you did, was it close?

Also - did you know that there are rebates for tires purchaced from a Ford dealer?

Yes the price was close, and yes I took the Ford Points as my rebate.

Regarding jacking up the car properly...I highly recommend buying the after market lift pucks. These have been featured in previous threads. They take little space and work great. You may occasionally need to have the car jacked up by another service.

A quick update since it's been about a month with the Ion tires: smoother and quieter than the OEM tires by far. It is very noticeable especially when driving roads that previously would cause high noise levels and are now quieter. On newly paved surfaces the ride is so smooth and quiet I think I must be parked. No change to apparent range, and handling seems the same. Plus, for whatever reason since the day I bought the car, the OEM tires would always return to about 34 pounds inflation no matter how many times I pumped them up to 39-40. They would be back down to 34 within two days and stay there. The dealer checked them in the early days and found no leaks, so I just chalked it up to aliens messing with my tires. The Hankook tires on the same wheels with the same sensors, etc. exhibit no such strangeness, holding at 40 since they were mounted. Perhaps the valve stems were changed? I didn't think to check.

I am a happy camper, and with the 28000 Ford points I got by buying the tires during the recent promotion, I will get a great deal on a new battery when it needs to be changed.

I recently had these tires installed on my '23 Premium. I previously had the Pilot Sport All Season 4 in a 245/50/19 size on my aftermarket 19x8 wheels. After conversations with @markboris, I decided on the Hankook in a 255/50/19 size. My needs are range, comfort, and quiet. I don't do any track work, 1/4 mile drag racing, etc., so cornering performance wasn't a priority. After 1,000 miles, I can say that these tires are about perfect for my needs. I can't get over how quiet and smooth they are. It's literally like being in a new car. Wet performance is fine so far, and cornering isn't that much different than the Pilot's. Keep in mind, I don't push the car to it's limits around corners, and maybe I would notice the difference if i was. The only negative for me would be price. To be honest, at this point they are more than worth the price to me. Next stop is calipers...
