I'm curious to know what Ford Pass says for those that were able to get Ford Mobile service scheduled (Ford Pass, Service, Active Recalls).

Also, if Ford didn't come down hard on those that did FDRS checks we wouldn't need to guess what's going on. It would have been post your vin and compare.
If my license wasn’t expired I’d just go check in FDRS myself if there is an update for my car. But we are two weeks off of my 1 year expiring.

I have no reason to believe my dealership decided to call me and schedule to send a tech out Monday out of sheer boredom though.

Just an IPC update.

So I literally just got an email from my dealer to schedule mobile service to get this software update for the recall fixed on my 2024. I double checked and verified with them that it was for the powertrain control module 25S65 recall. They verified it and told me the software fix has been out since June 27 and that it takes about an hour to hour and a half for mobile service to complete. So either my dealer is scheduling a fake fix for a recall that doesn’t exist or some in this forum need to stop being so cocky with their (if we haven’t heard about on here than it’s fake news) mindset.

I thought you posted a picture of your car getting mobile service already?

no, he was merely reposting something from FB showing another customer with a 24 getting the recall work done.

No that was someone else I saw who posted they were getting mobile service done and when I mentioned that I was told it was fake news, people on Facebook don’t know what they’re talking about and if a recall fix “outside of 25s” was available it would be announced here.

What dealer contacted you?

We can settle this easily. DM me your VIN and I’ll show you what updates are available for your car.

To me, if Ford were to do a model year-specific rollout it would make sense to hit the 2021s first since they have the oldest 12V batteries, then the 2022s. They should wait on the 2024s like I have until the prior model years are done. That would grab the most likely exposure sooner. But what the heck do I know? ??

In Ford's eyes, they believe that '25's should get them first because they are the ones holding up the sales and affects their shareholders....

In our eyes, I agree, the older model years should get the update first...

Multiple dealerships around the country certainly seem to think they have the update to apply.

Either they do or they will just be spending extra money sending out mobile service more than once.

Ford's seemed to already have released them for 2025s so I didn't mention them. ??

So...I looked up a '24 model in FDRS this morning and there is indeed a set of powertrain updates that can be applied. I have no idea if they are the updated revision. The last time I checked this VIN was 27 June 25 and the list of updates then was identical to what I see today. Previous to that, I checked this VIN in March and there were only two updates showing and the powertrain were not on that list.
