Ah, I didn't know that, thank you. Can you start climate again once it expires after 30 minutes? Or is it running off the 12V?
Edit: I see it runs off the HVB

Once you use the extension, the remote option is unavailable until there is a key cycle.
Yeah it's kind of unfortunate but likely they're sharing the same code as ICE vehicles hence the limitation :/

Same reason remote climate gets killed instantly if you pop the frunk - holdover from ICE vehicles where the engine needs to be killed if the hood is somehow unlatched while in remote start.

Extending the Climate Control sessions seems like a logical solution, but last week after I had done a couple of back to back Climate Control session extensions, on the third attempt I received a message on For Pass that stated the maximum number of extensions had been reached and my request was denied. I was surprised, I did not know there was a system extension limit.

Well, not quite.

As has been stated in thread after thread here (and elsewhere), the Mach-E glass top is treated, and doesn't let in heat like say a Lightning's sunroof. Residents of AZ and other states have proclaimed this year after year, yet there's the constant "I need a shade".
Well, not quite.

Here in Australia, Brisbane summer, without a shade makes me a little ill & especially in realtion to sore eyes, not nice at all. With a sun shade, the problem completely goes away.

Aoskonology, matches headline, looks like factory; easy to fit and remove, not expensive. Regular use now: we take it out for the brilliant sunny winter weather here in Brisbane, back in for summer. Works very well & does exactly what is expected.

Cannot imagine how sun from a Mach-E roof gets anywhere near a driver, or passenger's, eyes.

4+ years with the Mach-e in perpetually summer Hawaii. I’ve had zero need for a sun shade in all that time. I put up a windshield shade to keep things from heating up from that direction if I’m parking the car under Kona’s blazing sun for a fair period. But the glass roof is a non-issue for me. If your sunshade makes you happy though, go for it.

I usually just switch off the power-down timer and lock the car with the [7-8] [9-0] buttons. Just make sure you don’t have any fobs stored in the car that a thief could find and use. The car won’t go anywhere without a key present.

A windshield shade is kind of pointless if you already have the IRR metallic windshield (which rejects 98% of thermal radiation).

If someone has not mentioned it already window tinting is your friend. I have my front two windows tinted to 50% and the windshield 90% (this is how much light gets through). If you use a quality ceramic heat rejection film it has a dramatic difference in cabin temperature.

The car can sit in direct sunlight and just get warm not hot. IMHO it's problem solved

It makes a something of a difference when it’s the hottest time of the year down by the coast (Late September through mid October with temps always in the high 90s and low 100s). So two to three weeks or so. The difference is noticeable but not very profound. Honestly, I usually don’t bother much anymore, it’s just as easy to hit the ac button before you head out to the car.

I use one to protect the dash, but that's because my old 944 was susceptible to dash cracks, so I've got some issues around that ?

Yes, the only "feedback" message I have left Ford is for this........Scenario: HOT day, post pickleball, climate initiated before leaving the court to cool down the car. Get to the car and pop the frunk to put sweaty shirt and pickleball Bag inside. And the damn climate shuts off.

I told Ford in the feedback that the car is not in gear, someone has to literally sit in the car, push the brake pedal and still hit the "on" button to get the car moving; so why the hell turn my AC off if it is 95 degrees outside........

To add my ¢¢ I live in North Texas, so we get hot. I do have a glass top and do not have a shade on it. I tinted the front door windows to match the back. And then I have the windshield fold up sunscreen. All of those keep it cool-ish when parked in direct sun.
