And it's going to get worst. The Chinese government realized years ago that they needed to incentivize this industry and help it in it's early phase, here they decided to hamper it and prefer to support ICE vehicles, which will be a relic of the past by the middle of the century.

SmarterEveryDay made a video that touches on how China eats our lunch when it comes to manufacturing.

Regarding China's current EV market presence, and future...

1) Within China, there's widespread issues with BYD and other makers quality control. They may be 'tightening things up' for other markets due to regulatory compliance and/or needing to make a good first impresion, but it's worth noting that most Chinese brands within China are tofu dreg like most everything else they're doing nowadays.

2) The Chinese economy is a day/week/month/year away from collapse. Not only will this impact new EV shipments, and repair parts for existing EVs, it threatens their entire industrial complex. [this is common knowledge to those who follow Chinese news... and if you do some searches on google news, despite the communist party there trying to squelch the systemic issues and accelerating economic pressures]

Long term I don't see China being a player in any manufacturing market due to #2. In the short term, I post things like this to give people uninformed a head's up so they don't get tempted into purchasing a Chinese EV as they become more readily available here in the USA.

What China is facing is magnitudes worse than any bad policy and division the current administration can try to impose on America. At best they're facing revolution, at worse complete collapse.

First, thanks for the offer to help. I misunderstood you and I do appreciate it. Second, even if you were to somehow magically change Meta so I could access their products, I’d rather not have access to them.

Again though, thanks for the offer to help and sorry that I didn’t understand.

Hey, you can criticize (and rightly so!) China all you want; but leave tofu out of this! What has tofu ever done to you? 😀😀😀

If you go into YouTube and search for "Smarter Every Day", you'll be able to watch it there.
