Is that an app/service we all can use? Or is it something paid or through employment? If we all can use it... What is it?

Yes/no/maybe?

It is thru Norfolk Southerns "AccessNS" website/app.

To make an account you need to apply for one as an employee thru one of their customers, like Ford. I suppose anyone can sign up and just lie? Unsure.

Takes about a week or so to apply and get approved for access.

I got the email that my car was built at 10pm last night and a shipping notice at 1am this morning.

current estimate for delivery to [western washington] is bet‍ween July 23, 2022 an‍d July 29, 2022. Not sure what recent actual ship/delivery times have been like in this area, but still hoping to get it with some summer left

Is it possible to track it before it's in the States? I haven't had any luck with the CSX tracking, I have no idea what company its with currently, just the rail car number.

Are you tracking via CSX or is Ford chat giving you the location info? I got my rail car from the dealer, but when I call CSX the system says it's empty.

I chatted with Ford on Monday about my 5/16 car and they said it was in KS and gave me rail number for Norfolk Southern. I then got the number for their automated line from the building links post and 5 minutes later found out it was in TN. I’m guessing now it’s probably close to the Jacksonville drop off. Idk about CSX. FL cars come via Norfolk.

I also didn’t chat them until about a week after my car was showing shipped and others in the 5/16 group had reported their cars were in KC. YMMV. Ford seems to be a little behind because they said my car was still on the ramp in KC and it was on the train in TN.

If anyone has their traincar number on Norfolk southern, I have the ability to track it better than the phone tracking.

For example. I can now see that my train is expected in port Wilmington DE tomorrow/friday

I wonder what website the dealers have.... I would go with what the dealer has or confirm it with Ford Chat.

That isn't a Norfolk southern train unfortunately. It is a Kansas city southern train. Different systems.
