Also talked with my dealer (Bredemann Ford) for the first time in a few months. I asked him about current financing deals, and he volunteered that I am locked in at 2.49% APR up to 72 months on a loan, because that was the rate at the time I ordered. I didn't even have to ask or pester about the rate lock, he just told me on his own.

Thanks for the info, but the going rates even at a credit union are going to be much more than .5% higher than the 2.49% I would be getting through Ford. I will still get a pre-approval from USAA to carry with me for an emergency backup plan anyway, but the going rates for car loans right now are around 5%. I'll go with Ford unless something very unexpected comes up.

Asked Ford Chat for my railcar number. They said the car has arrived at Lecheria EM, which is a junction point so there is no railcar number yet. It looks on Google Maps like Lecheria EM is a station near Mexico City, and is somewhat near the Cuautitlan factory. So apparently it is just getting put onto a train now. I see a wide rail corridor between them, so I am guessing they ship the cars from the plant to Lecheria on short run trains, to be put on the long distance train headed north.

My MME order coming out of Mexico, destination California (built 9/13, shipped 9/15, arrived KC vicinity 9/25, been there ever since.) Yep, 48 days in "shipped status", so far.

Too bad that CU is Philly residents only. Have to say I am surprised rates are that low anywhere - I wonder how they are managing that given the rates everywhere else seem to be much higher. But at least I'll get the same from Ford, so I am happy.

My dealership texted, car is “produced”, but my status is still in production, 10/29, I do have a rear tag and modules, batch 9038, 316/686. Dealer did state I am locked in on price and locked in on Ford interest rates on order date, 3/17. Have no idea what the rates were then, if anyone knows a site with that information, that would be great.
