10/24 Build date

Well, kind of got an update. Both Ford chat and VINView show my car is now at Ramp 6P. Been there since the 18th I guess, and my ETA on both systems shows "no update" instead of even having a date range now. Bummer.

Ugh, just did a chat and found out my car is STILL on Ramp 6 and is not slated to arrive until 12/11. They better settle this rail strike ASAP! I don't want to miss out on the $7500 ?

I know. I'm stressing it also with my range of 12/29-1/4. Absurd that it was started in production on 10/27 and held so long. It's odd they didn't let the tax credit remain for anyone who ordered a vehicle in 2022 instead of taken delivery.

Congrats! And welcome to the railcar stalking club! Ontario is a pretty straightforward route, as long as there are no hiccups, it should only take about 4-5 days to reach!

My car made it all the way from KC -> Calgary in 5 days. Unfortunately, it was held up on Calgary for nearly 48hrs due to congestion. (Had to speak to a customer rep to find that out.) It started moving again yesterday afternoon. Slowly making its way through the rockies. Now it's in Kamloops, just 320km away from destination. Hopefully it will make it in the next 24 hours,?

So on Monday I was told my car was in Muncy KC on ramp 6 something and assigned to a Norfolk and Southern Rail car.
So on Tuesday I checked on the railcar an I’d made it to Conway Pa. Yeah right?
Fast forward to today and ford chat says the car is still in Muncy KC on the same ramp, but the rail car is even closer at Harrisburg, Pa.
My delivery window works if the car is that close, but if this rail car has to go back to KC and come east again then not going to make it.

I would assume the railcar info is more up to date than what Ford chat person has. I'm guessing my car is on the same train as yours my delivery ETA is Tuesday-next Monday and I'm north of Philly. Looks like it will be Tuesday if it's already in Harrisburg!

Its most likely that ford chat's status has not updated, you can confirm that by asking ford chat when the timestamp of the muncy KC update.

My car is almost at vancouver, but ford still tells me that my car's last location is Richard-gebaur 6R, but if I ask them the timestamp they tell me its from Nov 18th, so definitely outdated. Ford chat doesn't update until the railcar arrives to its destination.

Skip the extended warranty. The most expensive piece of equipment already has an 8-year/100K mile warranty on it. If you really want it, you have until the initial warranty is up in 3-years/36K miles. Plenty of Ford dealers selling the factory extended warranty online for well under $1200 right now. Get your money back now.

Can you please let me know which dealers are selling extended warranties for under $1200? Also, is this warranty honored by any Ford dealer or only at the one you purchased the extended warranty from?

I couldn't make out the location on the CP dial-a-status line (likely BC I've got heating issues) but last location was in IA.

Funny story - my mom's American and she's insistent that it'll come through Sarnia because that's where she crossed in 1948 when they took the train here from Chicago. I let it slide but laughed on the inside.

Yeah, names from the automated system can be hard to make out sometimes, especially when it's city names that aren't English to begin with.

Excited for you! I arrived in Nahant, IA earlier today. I think they've got to clear the junction or something so I can turn east toward Chicago. ?
