Trust the process I suppose. Mine just changed to waiting for transit... (Breath holding intensifies)

How are people selling their current cars? I also have a Volt.

I have quotes around $15,000 for my Volt, but could possibly get another $7-$10K for it if I sold it myself. I hate to pass up that much, so I'm going to try Facebook Marketplace and/or AutoTrader to see if I can sell it on my own.

Selling it for the higher amount would reduce my sales tax on the MME from $500-$700, too, since I can net the sale of the Volt against the MME.

I have a 2017 premium and I got a quick quote at "perfect" at about $19k. I see dealers trying to sell similar Volts for 24+. I'm in slightly rural upstate NY so not sure of the demand. The sale would also definitely offset the MachE purchase. Nervous to start trying to sell before the MachE is an actual reality though. But don't want used car prices to drop while waiting!

Thanks for the updates, everyone. 19 tracked orders in our group. 2 delivered so far, both just this past Friday. 8 of the rest have delivery windows coming up within November. Let's see how Thanksgiving week goes!

Just got the official built email with this delivery estimate:

December 29, 2022 and January 4, 2023.

That's a real bummer.

EDIT: Wanted to add that it says it was built 11/19. So here's hoping it arrives early.

Built 11/19? Did you get switched to a 2023? I know the 2022 MY ended up going over by a few days, and I saw some 11/1 thru 11/3 dates. But 11/19 is a few weeks into 2023 production.

No, it says 2022. Also, it started production 10/27 so a built date of 11/19 sure seems like a long time. I'm going to check with the chat today to see what they say.

I don't see how you started production on the 27th and then it took 3 weeks+. Maybe they were short a specific part and set your vehicle aside? I dunno. I'll update your info on the sheet though, and sorry you got screwed a bit. Hopefully you beat the estimate on delivery time.

Yeah, I was thinking that also. But when I spoke to a chat agent a week? ago they had said there wasn't any hold up. Maybe just couldn't get it onto a transport. Yeah sucks to be delayed but I'm also hopeful it beats the estimate. Could be hopeful congress passes that extension for IRA, but I won't hold my breath!

Chatted Ford today. No longer at Ramp 6P, now "through Muncie, KS". Railcar is COER900580. Called NS number for location, got something I couldn't quite make out. I heard RLOD *something* Center Missouri. No idea what that is, but somewhere in Missouri I guess.

Progress, I think? I assume this mean it is on a train again headed for the Chicago area. Hoping the car is in within the next week or two!

It looks like Muncie is just on the Kansas side of the river, a bit west of the main BNSF terminal which is on the Missouri side. The Norfolk Southern ramps are further northeast.

Presumably, since the 6P ramp was at that NS facility a week ago but has since moved, that is why I am guessing my car is now on that railcar for its final trip. But I am just guessing here as I don't know how all this works. Sort of odd that the train went west from the NS depot if the train is generally headed east, but maybe that is part of what it does to pick up more railcars before moving on?

I checked with Ford chat and I’m still on Ramp 6R but I don’t know if it’s just because the Ford tracker app hasn’t updated or if it’s because I haven’t moved. I guess we’ll see when it lands on the CP train.
