Your vehicle isn't necessarily on that railcar. It could be it was dropped off and the railcar is moving on to other things. I have seen this with other users, and it appears to be happening to me now too - after the railcar ID I was given arrived in Elkhart, IN, it stayed there for almost 2 weeks, but is now in Ohio (I am in the Chicago area). Clearly my vehicle is not on that train. My delivery window ended 11/29. My dealer is in FL, and the tracing showed the train car in Jacksonville, FL on 12/4 with a "notification ground only" status so I thought that might be good news and it would be headed to the dealer soon.
However, last night I got a new delivery window for Jan 2023 ?. As of this morning, the tracing seems to indicate it stayed on the train, left FL, and is now in GA?! What is happening here?
11/30 0908: Departed on flat car Left St Louis MO
12/2 0700: Intermediate arrival Eastpoint, GA
12/4 1745: Notification ground only, Jacksonville, FL
12/6 0908: Departed on flat car xxx scanner FL
12/6 Received email "Due to unanticipated shipping delays, your 2022 Mustang Mach‑E Premium is now expected to arrive at Gary Yeomans Ford Ocala between January 6, 2023 and January 12, 2023."
12/7 0247 Departed on flat car Spark scanner GA
Also the big jump in estimate window seems to happen too, only for people to then suddenly get the car within a few days. I think those estimate ranges are bumped automatically when the current window expires. I really doubt a human being is looking into those orders individually. So I wouldn't read too much into that, even though I know it is super-annoying.
Were you a 10/24 week of production vehicle? What day was yours built?
