What is the lightning bolt?
Oh, and stop bragging about BlueCruise. Remember, lots of us still don’t have it (and probably will never get it ?)
This may or may not make you feel better. But I’ve now driven with my BlueCruise on enough to form an opinion on it. I’m honestly underwhelmed. Yes it steers, but it’s not very smooth. I feel like it’s a never-ending series of miniature steering adjustments. I even commented to my wife yesterday that I probably looked like a drunk driver. I was somewhat “ping ponging” side to side.

I’ll caveat this by saying that I have one BC road near me, and it’s not in great shape. Lots of patchy repairs due to winter road damage. Perhaps that decreases the quality of my experience. But it points to another disappointment in that the vast majority of roads don’t support it. It also deactivates frequently. A large section of the one road I have doesn’t support it at all, and I’m guessing it’s because of upcoming curves as the lane markers are actually very clear in this section.

Anyone else thing the screen in front of the driver can get a bit……. Busy?

There’s just a ton of stuff going on. I wish it was customizable rather than being tied to drive mode,
Etc.

Here was my screen today:

No customizable options is a major miss. My biggest wish list, as minor as it sounds, is a numeric power meter that tells you power in use at all times. Even sitting in park. I loved that in my Volt. I could be sitting in park in my Volt with it running, pulling 0.5 kW, fiddle with the heater and see that I’m suddenly pulling 3 kW or 5 kW, etc. It really helps you to understand how each action you take impacts your battery.

The lane centering is far from being refined. I find that it often rides the "bumper dots" that separates the lanes on the freeway. As you said, it feels like a drunk driver or a 16 year old.

I’m not sure where in PA you are, but I’m in the Philadelphia suburbs so, theoretically, there should be several BlueCruise roads near me, including the one I have to take when I go to work, the expressway. BlueCruise on even a portion of that drive would be great.

Philly suburbs as well. My single BC road is 422. Sometimes 202, but I’m not on it for long, or often. Would be nice if it worked on 100. I would have thought that could have been major enough for BC. No need for the expressway for me.

Ok, I was hoping for:
I-76 (expressway) all the way in to an least route 1. Would be nice if it made it all the way to Vine Street, but that’s a dream
202 (KOP south to 30)
476
95
422
Turnpike
Basically, my house to work and the airport. 422 is to get to the stupid Collegeville shopping center.

Yeah if you spend a lot of time on those roads, I think you’re in a better spot to use it more often than me. But I would caution not to be too excited about it. Cool party trick, not game-changing!
