Yes, please Ford make the charge curve a little less conservative.
Now that the battery is out of warranty, it would be nice to have the option to dial up faster DC fast charging rates and unlock more of the top and bottom buffer to reclaim some lost range. Ford has been so conservative with the BMS, it seems like it wouldn't hurt to give the owners a chance to push the battery a bit more in its older age, given that most of the degradation happens early on.

@Ford Motor Company: give us an option in the software that unlocks after 100,000 miles. One option that unlocks 2 kWh (+/-) on the top and bottom buffer, and another that locks in a better charging curve (i.e., a charging curve that allows for a higher battery temp). This would be the perfect opportunity to gather data on more aggressive charging curves and smaller buffers, all beyond your warranty period.

My need for symmetry would have required setting cruise at 70. My inner voice said set cruise at 111, but my need for self preservation would have canceled that one.
The symmetry is a little off, but I was in a city when I hit 111,111 miles

Glad to read this. My 2023.1 RWD Premium averages 3,500 miles a month, so I expect to hit 100k in about 2.5 years. I’ll have it paid off two years after that. ?
Wow, that's kinda scary. Good luck and I hope it lasts the five years (185k miles).

For a moment, I was seriously debating to trade in my ‘22 for ‘24 for BC 1.3
But hooray! Got BC 1.3 yesterday. Couldn’t be happier. No more interruptions eating breakfast on the road. No reason to trade it in until the wheels fall off… or until the next major model change…

NICE!

How's your battery holding up? How has your actual range changed (not range reported by GOM)?

90% SOH currently. Between 265 and 269 highway miles on 100%. Haven’t needed to add any charging stops yet so no change on driving habits. But BC 1.3 is a game changer for me. So happy!!! I’m really curious how far I can take this car.

Did a HVB SoH check on 91,500 miles at 37 months the other day.

91%

Happy with that especially that it measured 89.5% when I measured it a few months ago.

The difference may be due to the fact I fully charged this time, the 89.5% was at c85% SoC.

I want to sell it before I need to replace the big battery… how many charge cycles does the Mach e have anyway?
