I see, I was concerned because of the errors I was getting and then not having 1-pedal drive anymore - getting pre-collision warnings etc once I got in the car. So when he was mentioning the modules I tho it was related? Those are normal Mach-E codes that don’t need to be addressed. Just pay to have the 12V battery replaced and that’s it, no diagnostics or programming needed. You can reset the BMS yourself for free.
Yeah, it's been driven over 500 miles. The alert is at the top of the service tab. "Check 12-Volt Battery, Tap to learn more and resolve."I have a couple questions about this. Is the message still showing up as an Active Alert in the service tab of FordPass, or are you just seeing it in message history? Also, have you driven the vehicle yet after resetting the BMS?
They're out of their freaking minds. I bought a battery for about $150 and replaced it myself in about 20 minutes.Hey yall, I am at the dealership right now for the 12 volt battery notification i got from the app. It failed there test and needs to be replaced.
I went to Tasca Ford in NY for it, and the price for the entire service is about 1k. What exactly is the Battery Terminal Service? I asked the guy and said its recommended since replacing the 12V, but didnt go into anymore details.
Do these prices seem correct to you for replacing? Just generally curious.
- 12v : $495.08
- Battery Terminal Service - Perform BG Battery Service: $174.75
- Also charged $259 for diagnostic — which is the first time im ever hearing about this for EVs or in general while coming here.
Bare with me as this is the first time ever having to deal with any of this.
You definitely need to change dealers if at all possible. Opps, meant for the OP.They're out of their freaking minds. I bought a battery for about $150 and replaced it myself in about 20 minutes.
1-Pedal drive fault is a random glitch. In most all cases it will be gone the next time you start the car. You only need to address it at the dealer if it happens repeatedly.I see, I was concerned because of the errors I was getting and then not having 1-pedal drive anymore - getting pre-collision warnings etc once I got in the car. Yeah it seems like there might be an issue clearing the 12V battery message after battery replacement on some vehicles. Assuming the battery was actually replaced and BMS reset properly it should be good to go. Perhaps it's a server issue.Yeah, it's been driven over 500 miles.
