Yesterday I got a warning that my 12V batter is low (see picture) and I'm still trying to figure out what happened.

Over the weekend I charged my Mach-E for 20h on a 110V outlet at 1 kW, then went on a 3 hour car ride home while also supercharging it half way home. I would assume that that's actual ideal case for the 12V, isn't it? Slow charging for a while, long car ride... the 12V should have been pretty much full. ?

Then on Monday I took the car for a short ride, and something must have happened with the lights. Just now (while writing this), I found out, I was experiencing this problem: https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...ocks-lights-are-always-in-auto-setting.11499/
"Headlamp switch problem"
I do remember that Monday night I noticed the headlamps stayed on for 10-15 minutes, but eventually switched off. Similar to the author of this other thread, I assumed it must have been because I was too close with the key or something. The Mach-E must have been in this buggy-mode for around 24 hours and I noticed 1 or 2 more times that the headlamps stayed on for a while after I got something out of the car.
Fast forward to Tuesday night (end of said 24 hours) and I get the 12V battery warning.

My question is: How can the 12V battery be so low? Like I said, it should have been in pretty good shape after the weekend. I don't think the headlamp bug had the headlamps on for much more than a total of one hour. Is that enough to drain the 12V completely? Or would that bug have affected the battery in some other way?

You need to rotate the control from Auto to Off, then back again.

Yes, if that happened it can drain the 12v battery

I tried that recommendation too and it worked.

If the headlights stay on for an hour or two the battery will be dead. Headlight bug, you need to get the switch replaced.
