I recently had my 21' mme picked up and taken to the dealership because my 12v battery kept failing. I put in a napa battery that fit in the trey and got it onto the flatbed. This was just so we could get it into neutral and on the trailer. They were supposed to change it at the dealership. I picked up my car the next week and asked about the battery they just put in. He said it was fine, it took a charge and it's good to go. It just needed programming? I asked him if the napa battery was in the back and he said it's still installed and it should be fine. He did say take it out and put the AGM battery back in it when i get home.

I did. And it worked ok until today. I checked the slip from the dealership says the battery was at 11.05v before charge. After, it was at 11.73v. Shouldn't it be 12.6v? I'm confused. Also I'm pretty pissed off that they didn't put the correct battery back in. Didn't put the plastics back in over the battery. It was all sitting in the back with my AGM battery. Today I looked up my 12v battery current SOC and it's 11.30v. I found a ford motorcraft agm battery online and ordered it. I'm literally done with that service department. I want to call and bitch at them so bad but I don't wanna be that guy. I doubt they even gave me a new battery to begin with.. It has a sticker that says 3/24 on it. Hope you have a better experience than me.

WTF how is 25 cranking amps out of 380 rated considered "good"?! I don't understand how the tester let that pass. That should have failed and been replaced. The battery is almost dead.

Yeah, the more i look at those slips the more pissed off i get.. lol

I didn't pay anything. I'm pretty sure they screwed me from the start. They said they gave me a new battery in december. It's basically dead already. The battery replacement in december cost $167. I'm pretty sure they took one out of a vehicle they had on the lot.

It should be replaced under warranty.
I think the battery has a 30,000 mile warranty. My car has 48k miles. I missed out on that.

I think the battery has a 30,000 mile warranty. My car has 48k miles. I missed out on that.
If they claimed to install a new battery in December, it should have its own warranty.

If they claimed to install a new battery in December, it should have its own warranty.
They should have replaced it last week then but they didn’t. They passed it as a dead battery. My slips have all the charging information on them.

Yeah just order a new AGM to put in yourself, they wouldn't have been able to warranty it anyway.
My new battery should be here this Thursday
