Got 2.7.2, I think last night. That screwed up a number of things. ?
It apparently erased all user settings. I lost all my radio presets, charging schedule. I noticed the car was charging 10% slower since that. The worst surprise was in the morning, as the update turned off 1PD. So when backing up in the garage in the morning the car unexpectedly sprinted back as soon as I released the breaks. Taking into account that I have just a couple of inches clearance in my garage, that was a bit scary, fortunately I tapped the break pedal quickly.
What kind of software engineers does Ford employ that they can't get even simple things right? When I worked for Bloomberg many years ago, one would be fired for screwing up a customer's database.

I got items reset as well and have not investigated all setting yet. I know the notification sounds are back on.

Did you put the car in reverse with the garage door closed?

My drive mode keeps cutting out and my otherwise reliable Paak has reverted to it's original form that came with the car...

Mine had warnings in the release notes and when the car was turned on that the backup brake assist didn’t work.

Bloomberg sounds like a really crappy company to work for. Sorry you had to work in an environment like that, that’s a great way to stifle innovation.

Same thing happened on my end with the 1PD! Also radio was reset to a different channel but luckily saved channels were still there.

1PD does not save between profiles anymore. Ford is doing a crappy job at programming software. It's like they aren't even using source control and have no idea what has changed when they release. My customers would fire me for this.

Have any of you been able to resolve these issues? The 2.7.2 update I did yesterday erased all my charging times and max % charge settings. But what's worse is when I now go to Charge Settings->Setup Preferred Charge Times to try to re-program all this, it does not show the charger I have at my house. Instead, the app only gives me the option to "Begin Setup". And when I do try to begin setup, no addresses appear under either "Saved Locations" or "Previous Locations", so there's no way for me to adjust the charge settings for my own house!

So as of now, the charger is charging when plugged in and will charge the battery all the way to 100%. Obviously this is unacceptable, but I don't see any way to fix this apart from going to the dealer, which is a total hassle. Do any of you have any suggestions? Help!

It should show your location after you’ve charged for one time. It’s how it’s always worked when you set it up for the first time. It’s not great, but just how it is.

Ah, that makes sense. I hope that happens after this first charge.

But sheesh, with the Mach E out for well over a year now, Ford really ought to know how to do a simple software upgrade. Especially if they hope to be a credible alternative to Tesla. It's just really disappointing. Anyway, thanks for the info!

I mean, all quirky things aside, they’ve done pretty well for Tesla having a 10+ Year lead on Ford, they are getting the OTA situation figured out. They are adding big features OTA. We all knew this was a first gen product, so I can give them some slack.
