2023 Mach e GTPE issues

Hi there! My 2023 Mach e GTPE car door locks on exterior don’t seem to consistently work for rear doors. Exterior trunk button also opens trunk a few inches then stops. My settings in the car randomly reset themselves for example I like my side mirrors to fold in when I lock the car. Several times now that just stopped working. Car play has messed up often lately. Not connecting right, then suddenly connecting on its own, then suddenly disconnecting on its own. Trunk won’t open from a simple kick under car like I thought it was supposed to.…. Any advise appreciated.

Many owners mention settings getting messed up after updates are applied.Annoying but fairly innocent . The trunk kick is an art for sure .Ive given up on the closing kick. I got it right once in 3 years .Press the button in the middle of the hatch .....it's easier on your blood pressure

The trunk opening only slightly is an identified bug, mine has it (23.5 build) A fix to be done at the dealers is cited in the FDRS "reargate RGTM module update" Here's pic of the FDRS for mine

For the trunk, if the car is locked, first press unlocks the truck and opens the hatch a few inches. Press the button a second time to open fully. If the car is already unlocked, once press will open it fully.

Kick all you want, but the 2023 doesn't have that feature...

Mirror folding was a known issue. Quite a few reported the car setting changing some time in the 6.x series of updates. I had it happen once since I took delivery of the 512th 2023 in Nov of 22.

Your Car-play issue could be HeadUnit or phone. I have had incidents of both. I generally just reboot the APIM and my phone. I strongly believe that software on the phone is more often the culprit.

I have the same exact problem with mine . It’s only four months old . It’s going in to service since it tells me drive modes unavailable . Other than that the suv is solid . I’ll let you know what is wrong with mine

using paak, sometimes I find I have to unlock the drivers door before I unlock other doors or the trunk. Not sure if it’s a bug or setting. 2023.5 GTPE

I hadn't heard there was a software fix for this - is there a CSP associated with this update @zvez?

I'm not aware of any CSP for it. I just asked someone with FDRS access to check my vin for the update after reading about others having the liftgate problem. It seems to only occur when the car is locked. and it doesn't happen all the time but most of the time, ie touch button on rear liftgate, you can hear the actuators but liftgate doesn't lift at all or only a few inches. It seems to also occur with the fob. I haven't bothered to get it fixed, I'll do it when I take it in for yearly.

The only door that will initially open (thus unlocking the car) is the one within 3’ of the fob/key. Described in the manual.
