Hiya, so it seems my order was not scheduled for production this year, so I assume the order will be rolled over to the next production year.
I would like to ask the community some questions.
1) I saw mention of charging credits, how firm /confident will this be offered again?
2) I hope they will honor the price, if there are options that are no longer available will they upgrade the vehicle or something?
3) After some reflection I want to turn one of my preorders from a select to a RT1, would they base the 2023 RT1 price on the 2022 RT1 price? or would I just be in front of the line in the 2023 orders but have to pay the new price if I change skus? If this is the case does it make more sense to place a "new" order for RT1?
4) For the GTPE, I assume they will redesign the HVJB and batteries so that it wont die on the grapevine and get rid of the 5s cap? (I know this is speculation)

Thanks!

1) Charging credits are largely irrelevant being worth less than $100.
2) Price will not be honored, but you MAY get a cash incentive to offset some or all of the difference.
3) See above.
4) There is already a new contactor. It did not eliminate the 5s limit.
5) You may yet get scheduled.

According to my dealer, to change my order I would have to make a new order and just cancel the first order. Price would be what ever the new price is at the time. According to Ford (today) I cannot change my existing order. So I hear ya, cuz I didn’t have all options and would have ordered a different car too. New order, new price; that’s my understanding. If you are being pushed into a ā€˜23, then I have no idea if there will be incentives or some kind of kiss up offered from Ford just for the inconvenience. What I will be interested in, what is the difference in a 23 vs a ā€˜22? Besides an increase in $$.

A new HVBJB connector already started going in as of a few months ago.

We should get more specific details on 2023 pricing and changes in about a week, perhaps less. It is likely to appear on here as a leak from an early order guide.

Basically same car. Plus they cancelled my color. Plus losing the tax incentives if it’s delivered in ā€˜23. But hey, I have enjoyed the Mach E community! So there’s that.

Someone posted they got a 10/24 build date and their VIN today so perhaps you will still receive your 2022 model.

I doubt they are scheduled yet. Seems like they got through most of the feb/march orders. Probably one last schedule of the march/april orders and thats it
