2024 Rally window sticker went live today, and I thought I'd share!

windowsticker.webp

I'm a bit underwhelmed; I thought it would be much more exciting. I'm still a bit unsure why Rally is simply an option package rather than its own model. Oh, well.

It's showing "in production" but the scheduled-to-week date is Monday of next week, so it could be any day next week. I'm not sure what the current shipping state is out of Cuautitlan-Izcalli, but I'm hopeful I can have it by my boy's 3rd birthday next month. He's very fond of our current Mach E!

I wonder how the "Magneride Damping System 2" is different from the previous years (maybe just a Rally thing?). The window sticker for my 2023 just says "Magneride Damping System".

I thought 2024s were getting NACS charge port. Maybe I was just dreaming.

Pretty much everyone is switching in 2025 or MY25 (not sure which, MY25 for the Cadillac Lyriq would be in like August this year lol). Ford included.

They had trouble selling Mach Es last year, especially towards the end. I predict they'll have an even tougher time this year since they're not going to include the adapter in the new MY24s they're shipping, and I think after June they're not going to offer the adapter for free. Why get a MY24 and pay $230 for the NACS adapter when you can just wait until next year and get one that has the NACS port natively...

I was wondering the same thing. I will have to check the part numbers for the struts/shocks and VDM on that car to see if they have changed from previous years.

Also noticed the load capacity of the tire is at a much lower 99 rating. That seems odd to me since all other Mach-E 4X's have a tire with a load rating of 103.

Still says 150kw peak so I'm guessing they improved the curve

Just being curious cause I’m a little confused on what you said here, I have a 23 GT mine says the exact same thing on the window sticker about the 150 how do they improve the curve on this if it’s the same as what I’ve got?

I don’t think so. I have seen >160KW for a few moments. It drops fast though. ?ā€ā™‚?

The 24s are supposed to have an improved charging curve

I did one of those 350 Electrify America chargers today the best I got was 120 then it dropped down to 92 stay there but for some reason I’m thinking they were having trouble because two other cars pulled up and they were having to switch and switch and switch.

I know it’s a 2024 but I have to say the 23 GT that I bought for 53,000, and it comes with the three years of blue cruise and the other services that are in excess of 2 years, I’m happy with what I got I guess.

One thing I wanted to add and I do not think it’s even possible, but when I was purchasing the car, they were going over everything on the car that was already on the lot, cause I bought it off the lot. They asked me do you want to add the magna ride options? And I’m like is that a software update or something because I thought you had to order it with that?

Yes - only the GTPE had it in the past. Not something you can add to a car on the lot. Not sure which models have it for 24 without looking - probably GT and Rally.

Interesting, the range doesn't math up for me. 91 kWh / 39 kWh * 100 = 233 miles. That misses the claimed 250. Did they bump up the pack size/usable? Not according to the top of the sticker...

Hey Jerry, while it's not impossible, it's not very cost effective nor easy to add the MagneRide suspension system to a car.

Besides the four active struts/shocks, the system has height sensors at each corner and the VDM (Vehicle Dynamic Module) which only come in the GTPE (now in the Rally Pack). The VDM communicates with 7 other vehicle modules so it is not just some fancy shocks you can replace. Also, the system monitors the ambient temperature so that the valving in the dampers is consistent no matter if it is hot or cold outside.

From the Mach-E repair manual:
The VDM is connected to the FD-CAN to communicate with the ABS module, the PCM, PSCM, IPC, GWM, RCM and BCM. With the information received from these modules and the height sensors, the VDM monitors the heave, roll, pitch, cornering, braking, acceleration of the vehicle and outside ambient temperature. Based on this information the VDM calculates the best action for each individual valve solenoid (struts/shocks).
