First off, I didn't want the glass roof, it was just built that way. I decided I could live with it, though, so I put a deposit down on it. We were literally on the way to pick it up when the salesperson called and told me about the roof. He made no attempt to try to get me to take it and have the roof replaced later. He said they were working with Ford to figure out what to do with it. Past experience has told me that replacing windshields is problematic in turns of leaking so, by extension, replacing an entire glass roof could be a significant problem. Since I don't need the MME and I'm keeping my ICE vehicle I decided to just order one to get what I want. It's been about 3 months now and the vehicle is still sitting in their lot with the cracked roof.
Replacing the glass roof isn’t an issue. It’s been done many thousands of times by this point in the model lifecycle. It requires certain steps to be followed but that’s all. Any above average automotive glass shop could handle it. The reason the car is still sitting there with the cracked glass roof isn’t because the dealer doesn’t want to get it fixed atm. The real question is whether you want a glass roof car, you answered that by ordering one without.

The possible lock in scenario which resulted in the stop sale and stop shipment orders and recall may have been lifted according to a few reports elsewhere in this forum. If there the case, your vehicle to be will be released and shipped as soon after the update is applied.

Drove to Santa Fe from Albuquerque. Stopped for a couple of hours, and when I got back in the car, it started throwing all these warnings...
Stop when safe, 4wd not functioning, Rear backup assist off line, Traction control error, etc.
It would not start and couldn't shift out of Park. Had to use the emergency tow system to get it into neutral. Took almost 3 hours for a tow truck.
The Rally has less than 600 miles on it. So disappointed... have to wait for a diagnosis... ?

Not a pretty sight...

Question: what do you mean you had to use the emergency tow system to get it into neutral?

In order to tow the MME, it must be in neutral as to not damage the motors and electrical parking brake. When the MME threw all the error codes, it would not start nor shift into neutral or anything else; it was locked in park. On the MME Vehicle screen, towards the bottom, there is an emergency tow function that puts the MME into neutral so you can tow it.

I don't see that function on my 2022. Is it something new on 2025?

One reason for accessory mode seems to exist. (emergency tow)

Although I still think another reason for accessory mode in an EV would be to engage/enable the DC/DC converter

 Just an update... dealership has had my car 5-days now, and they haven't even looked at it... After asking to speak with management, they found me a loaner; picking it up tomorrow...

Needless to say, I'm not very happy! ?

Sorry for your trouble. It’s going to be even more upsetting if the fix is a quick 12v battery swap after a week of waiting without a car.

Next update...
So I got the loaner today; however, I found out that the dealership only has one technician that works on Mach-E's, and he's on vacation until next week! Seriously‽

Apologies if this was already asked and answered, but is the lesson for those of us waiting for delivery of a new MME that everyone should immediately put an overnight charger on the 12V battery as soon as the car is driven home from the dealership? Or is the damage from sitting idle too long already done, and the 12V battery should be replaced on day 1?

12v batteries are usually not an issue. Dealers really should be checking on them though.

High Voltage Battery Junction Box is the suspected problem.... Now to wait for part to come in, etc.

I know I'm the one that brought up the 12V battery as a likely cause, but there was another person here recently (don't recall the thread title) who had a similar issue and it turned out it wasn't the 12V battery.
The High Voltage Battery Junction Box is the suspected problem... :bandit:
