On my 2021, tapping the windshield wiper stalk would do a single wipe, useful in a light mist or to remove excess washer fluid or overspray from another vehicle..

Since the controls moved to the left stalk, I no longer see a way to do that. Looking up "courtesy wipe" in the manual only refers to the additional automatic wipe after doing a wash.

I can rotate the wiper control on and off to do the same thing, just wondering if I'm missing something to do it in one step like before.

Boy, I hope they didn't remove that, I use that all the time driving here in the PNW region. We have light rain and misty days where it comes in real handy.

The feature you're referring to is called "mist". It is usually activated by moving the wiper control in the opposite direction you would to turn the wipers on. Have you tried that on your '25?

This. On our 2020 Raptor, at least, you twist the dial in the opposite direction as “on”. It snaps back. I utterly despise this system and avoid driving the truck if I even think there’s a possibility of rain.

Very interesting…wipers section in my 2022 owners manual specifically mentions the single wipe feature. Looking at the same section in the 2025 owners manual, I can’t see any mention of the same feature available with the new signal/wiper stalk.

Not sure if it's intended to work this way but on our '25 we twist the left wiper control down like we are going to run the washer fluid and just tapping it down causes the wipers to run once but doesn't spray, just like how it worked previously with the function of pulling down on the right stalk.

I just tried this, and it didn't work in mine. The control will not twist down. But I'm confused, because on mine to operate the washer involves pushing the button on the end of the stalk, not twisting.

Push the washer button BRIEFLY for a wipe, not long enough to engage the pump.

Mach-Lee to the rescue, thank you.

I guess this is not an "official" usage, otherwise it would be in the manual.

Also, because of the muscle memory, I keep hitting the shifter instead!

Oh yeah lee got it sorry I got the rear mixed up with the front washer.

Hopefully that doesn't cause any motor burnout for the washer pump...but yeah I use that all the time as I have my windshield coated so I almost never need to run the washers except when I come to a stop and the water isn't just flying off the windshield. Just easier to do a single wipe than constantly turning on and off the wipers.

Glad you found it. Courtesy wipe, which I am sure some Ford engineer snickered at when naming, is the single wipe that comes about three seconds after the initial wipes when using the washer function.

.
Just to be clear, "courtesy wipe" isn't "mist".
I guess they might have removed it for the 2025 Mach-E, it in there for my 2024 Mach-E.
