Reminds me of when I used to drive a 2016 Subaru WRX. Although I would never buy another ICE, I do have fond memories of driving my WRX, blasting the Harman Kardon Stereo, shifting the 6-speed manual gearbox, and giving the peace sign to every WRX driver I would see on the road. My young daughters would give a cheer everytime a fellow WRX driver would give the peace sign back.

I plan on giving the peace sign to every MME I see on the road. If it is one of you, please flash me a sign or a wave back!

If they are oncoming, I give them 2 quick flashes of the high beams. They can take it as a wave, or that there are Police up ahead. Lol.

Actually, with the exception of Teslas, BEVs are pretty rare around here, let alone other MMEs (NH coast). I wave or flicker my lights. Usually I get a wave or flicker back depending on reaction time.

I get flickers and waves from Rivians too. Not a lot of those around either. I've met a few Rivian owners at EV local shows but only two Mach-E owners. All were really nice folks.

I suspect the scarcity is about to change though. Gas prices are expected to return to $4/gallon this summer and it seems anyone building an BEV is ramping up production for 2023.

Hope to do a lot more waving, windows down, this summer ?

I stopped waving, nobody answers anyway :(
And with more MachEs around, the feeling of novelty and exclusivity is a thing of the past. Still makes me happy to see them on the road though.
Jeep guys still wave to each other!

So I may propose an OK sign, with the last three fingers elevated off the steering wheel as the pointer and thumb remain wrapped on the steering wheel. The 3 fingers could represent the tri-bar associated with the mustang. Preferably both left and right hands in top of steering wheel as tho imitate the tri-bar tail lights. Left hand only for mustang drivers of standard transmissions. Gotta remember the ICE drivers.

I’m afraid in my neck of the woods any MME wave would be ignored in favor of the Iowa wave which is raising the index finger off the steering wheel to EVERY car met on a gravel road, every car that you think you know in town or on state or county roads, and observed in the breach on Interstate Highways.
