21 Job 2 with no sync updates

I have a 21 Premium AWD Job 2 and to my knowledge, the sync has never been updated. I have called the OTA team at Ford and done every trick I could find on this forum and nothing has worked. I finally took it into the dealer yesterday. They are saying it is up to date. Any advice on what to do?

Thanks for the reply. I thought it wasn't possible to look up the version of sync? Unfortunately, the car is at the dealer right now so I can't look. but I don't have Alexa, full screen android auto, camera button or anything new.

Last fall when the HVJB fix was being sent out, mine never came OTA so I went to the dealer around November to have them install it.

Ha. Well, I don't know what I read before. But knowing I don't have any of those new things shows that it is an old version, right?

I had the exact same problem with a job 1, after 10 months of back and forth, some lies or confusion at the dealership and maybe some luck they got it fixed in the third visit and the last visit lasting close to 3 weeks.

They had to update the APIM, it was stuck in the 1.7 power up which was locking everything else. The repair report had a bunch of modules updated. Interestingly, Sync was not updated to the latest, however the day after I got it back got an OTA update on what I hope will continue until it gets caught up.

Be persistent and keep pushing with ford and your shop, I got to the point of following up weekly until they may have got tired of me and decided it would be less painful to do the repair.

There is some hope, dont give up, despite the frustrating service I kept thinking Mach-e's are very nice cars and refused to let a shop and lack of support to take that away.

The dealer did just text me saying they were doing an "update". I don't know what they are doing, but I hope it helps.

I turned auto-update OFF months ago as soon as I had a stable build that talked to my phone and FordPass reliably for PAAK. There has not been any new or improved functionality that I give a crap about..... at least nothing in release notes. I really hated the 'mystery resets' of settings and undocumented changes that came with updates.

IF there are imprivements to UI to display real-time power output/regen, or the ability to turn off 'Driver Alerts' and have the Alerts STAY OFF, then I'll consider an update.

I'd like the camera button on the top for 1 click. I'd like the bigger Android Auto Display. I'd like all the latest safety features and improvements that they push (I had to go into the dealer to get the HVJB recall done in the fall). I'd like to not keep getting the Sirius XM banner on top of android auto (did they fix that)?
