My ‘23 GT also does not have KtO tailgate and parking assist. I am pretty certain that parking assist should have been on the vehicle, but not 100% certain about kick to open.

My suspicion is that Ford decided to omit this feature because of chip shortages and it would have delayed deliveries significantly.

These features were never in the order guide for 2023.

I have owned my GT PE for over 8 months and have yet to even try the parking assist. I learned how to parallel park via my '57 GMC truck which had armstrong steering. As strong as your arms are is as good as it will steer. ;) Nothing like parking a big old truck with a straight axel and no power steering to learn how to park a car. Maybe one day I will try the park assist on my car to at least say I used it and will probably never us it again.

I have both in my 21 GT. Turned off the kick-to-open day one because of the reports of false openings and banged up hatches in the garage. I used the auto-park once. After about 5 mins of trying it stopped in the middle of the parking lot road and said done. LOL Never used it again.

Very confusing from the manufacturer.

The order guides listed Co-Pilot 360 Active 2.0 as standard on GT. This feature was inclusive of both BlueCruise and Active Park Assist. I found this in the product literature from the dealer.

Whether the feature is useful or not is subject of debate, but if it was a listed feature on the vehicle then it should be present.

I've read that the Active Park Assist had a supply chain issue in April 2022 and they were offering a kit to accept an upgrade for when the supply resumed. Then they eliminated it entirely in 2023! It is not clear whether the 2023 cars have all the required sensors (I think yes) and can be upgraded or SHOULD be upgraded at some point. We all have the switch for it, but no function. :( I have a Premium model that should include it as well. I also don't seem to have any function on my kick-gate feature (kick to open tailgate). Mine is a 2023 that was delivered on 12/31/22...

Wow, now I know why I don't have Park Assist. It took forever to get Blue Cruise to function and I thought Park Assist would function when that did. Finally saw this post and see why. It also sounds like I am not the only one that thought it would have this feature in my 23. I don't think they made this decision to leave it off obvious. I was really wanting to try it to see how much better it was over my Jeep GC. But if it was similar, I may have used it once just to see. Still....

There is but it's fairly intense. I'd rather just wait for the newest software that gives the button at the top of the screen. I'll try to find that post later.
My base GT does not have BlueCruise and so it also doesn't have the 360 camera. Because it doesn't have BC it also doesn't have the face nanny. I would absolutely hate the face nanny but I do miss the 360 camera.

My hatch opened without warning a week after getting the car and it hit my garage door putting a big gash in the spoiler. I set the hatch height so it doesn't hit the door (too late) and turned off KtO. It has been off ever since but I am considering turning it back on now that I have been carrying a FOB with me. Using PaaK KtO almost never works but it should work reliably with a FOB. At least that is my theory.

Why would you hate the face nanny?

Prefer to drive like this? (1 min in to video).

Had my car since October 2021 and the nanny has never beeped at me. I have an unusual habit of keeping my eyes on the road.

Doesn't work from Paak? I've never had an issue, I just have to hold the button a few seconds like the other ones

There is no button for KtO (kick to open). You kick your foot under the rear bumper to open the rear hatch.

I am not sure what you mean about "hold the button" as there is no button when using KtO.

I think if you hold your phone next to the hatch so the Bluetooth signal is strong it will be more reliable, but what is the point of KtO if you have to take your phone out of your pocket? I stand there kicking under the bumper looking like an idiot while the hatch does nothing. Then I press the button a few times, which I think is what you mean, and it opens. When I carry a FOB the button works 100% on the first try.

Sorry I thought you said it also doesn't work from Paak, but I guess you meant you use Paak or your fob. Same boat fyi, had a random open this fall so I shut the feature off, I turned it back on a few weeks ago but forget to use it.

And also it always took me multiple kicks so I just hit the button on the hatch
