No. Updates to the FordPass app on your phone and updates to the car are independent of each other.
That’s what I thought so I was thinking whenever anybody says they’ve got the new FordPass, I figured I’d have the update as well since it’s an app.?

Yes. But in addition to the app version, Ford is randomly selecting people to try the beta version. If you're not selected, you just have to wait.

Maybe this will fix the Speed Compensated Volume feature? I have an Explorer and love it. It has never worked in our Mach-E. I am always fiddling with the volume without it.

Or you can disconnect CarPlay and reconnect.
It doesn't help and rebooting the SYNC does nothing.
Turning it off/on doesn't work either unless I open/close the door.

No change there after the update. Speed compensated volume does work, it's just not enough volume gain to overcome wind noise on non-exemplar Mach-E's. You need a car with laminated side glass and no wind noise for it to work right.

OMG, I used to have an early 2000's explorer and loved that feature. I think the MME is a much quieter car and not sure it needs that but what the heck. I'm sure they will put a toggle switch to turn it off / on if they give it to us. I loved that Explorer!!!

Worked on my 13’ GT convertible I traded for this. Did not know it was a thing for years after I bought the car.

Audio loss with CarPlay… Happens about 1-2x a week for me. Annoying!

Curious if this update is related to new faults I am seeing.

Timeline:
Previous update was Mar 12 for 6.14.0 and everything has been fine.
Drove Apr 9 ~450 miles (Texas to Louisiana) with BlueCruise 1.0 and all is fine (wish I had my NACS adapter).
Received 23-PU1024-6CH-AUD update Apr 11. Seemed to install fine.
Drove Apr 12 ~450 miles (Louisiana to Texas) with BC 1.0 and frequently get errors: "Front camera fault Service required" and "Pre-Collision Assist not available". These error come and go. BC won't work when they're there then the errors will go away and BC works again until the errors come back.

I have tried resetting SYNC a few times but faults continue to come back. It would seem odd to me that it was related to the audio update, but the correlation between the update and the faults is hard to ignore.

I just got 5.1.1. Why am I so far behind? Shouldn't the dealer have updated it before I bought it a month ago, or it that naive to think? I asked the salesman if they could update it to BC 1.3 and he said they couldn't.
