Anybody know what this might be? I just scheduled my car for the door lock recall and this other one showed up on the scheduling notice from the dealer.

It's an "audio off" bugfix for the audio module on some 2024s. Not a safety recall, but an annoying issue nonetheless:

No. I had a software update done for the lock issue but I don’t have the paper document to see if they did the other one. Sorry.

It's an "audio off" bugfix for the audio module on some 2024s. Not a safety recall, but an annoying issue nonetheless:

It would be fantastic if this audio fix stopped the also-annoying 700-numbered Sirius channels from disappearing from the buttons.

That seems unlikely. The ACM is just a relatively dumb sound processor (Ford sometimes calls it the Digital Signal Processor). It's one of the few components in our vehicles that doesn't support over the air updates.

Meanwhile SYNC is the software for the touchscreen display and it is notoriously buggy, and can be made worse or better via OTA updates. People are discussing a recent SYNC OTA here that's supposed to improve something for Sirius: https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/sync-26-2-1-6-5-2-ota-update-installed.54106/
