I’m starting to see abandoned but not delivered orders around me listed with Ford bonus cash of $5500-$5900 - I wonder if this is how they’ll offset the tax credit loss if we get deliveries after 4/18?

Mine made it to Laredo last Wednesday and is on its way to Kansas City.

I called the dealer today and they said it was in Laredo- but no idea when it arrived there or when I’ll get it in Phoenix. I’m hoping there’s a miracle I get it before 04/18- but I’m not holding my breath

I'm curious when you put your order in and at what dealer. I just found a GTPE ordered by Earnhardt (blue window sticker) that has a 3/28 invoice date. They claim it's in transit to them, so I wonder if it's on the same rail car as yours.

Does anyone know if we can enter into a contract and still get the full EV credit? My luck mine is going to show up on 4/19. I called my dealership and the salesperson said he could look into signing a contract prior.

Nope. You must take delivery before 4/18. You need to have the actual car and drive it off the lot to qualify. Any fudging of paperwork before the fact and you both are liable for tax fraud. The dealer should know at least that much.

Ok that’s what I thought but it was confusing because with the changes made 8/16/22 the IRS said you could be in a binding contract and still qualify.
