That EVgo stop was added automatically, and the fact it’s necessary was also based on my last known charge level (when I was last using CarPlay).
This drives me nuts when using Apple Maps. You can select the charging networks you want to use, in my case they are EA and Tesla. But Apple maps ignores this and adds stops at whatever charging network it chooses. This makes it almost useless for long trips.

12v battery health (remaining capacity) is hard to measure until you start seeing any kind of warnings.

Fortunately, roads trips with hours of driving and hours of re-charging are great for the 12v. So, try not to worry about the 12v.... ;) one thing you *could* do to avoid surprises is turn OFF your auto-update setting while you are travelling so nothing mysteriously changes while you are on the road.

First, get A Better Route Planner (ABRP) and PlugShare and use them to plan your charging route. I have only gone on a few trips but I used ABRP and PlugShare and then plugged each charger into my car's GPS as a destination. ??
I did use ABRP and it routed me through Arizona. I know i can get to Barstow but I will need to charge again to Vegas because I can only charge to 80% at the charger. I'll check a route to Barstow and then another one to Vegas.

Apple Maps DOES provide charging information. You have to go into the settings and tell it what car you have, and then you can search for routes there and it will tell you what chargers are available on your route.
Where are the settings in Apple maps?

I just nav station to station. First stop Barstow EA, second stop Baker EA. Charge to 80% both places. Easy-peasy. Then you'll have plenty left to run around Vegas some too.

That's what I found too. A shame I have to stop again in Baker which is less than 40 miles from Barstow. I couldn't find any stations between Baker & LV. Primm says it's coming.

63 miles. It's an easy on-off though. In fact Baker is arguably the premier EA station in the country.

Phyllis (Almondtree) are you able to charge at a Tesla Supercharger? Do you have the adapter?

I DM'd you how to connect your Mach-E to Apple Maps.

If you set a way point in Barstow, problem solved. ??

Open maps on your phone. Click your picture on the right side of the popup. Click vehicles. Then your Mach E.

Ali, you also needed to mention, you can only do this when you are in your car with CarPlay active. "Vehicles" will NOT show up in the list of options on your phone to select unless you are in the car with CarPlay active. I've explained this to Phyllis in a DM among other things.

Another point I made to Phyllis was that you can use Maps on your Mac computer (providing you have one) to plan your route which you could then send it to your phone. You have more options in doing this.

One of the options I like is the "Assume 100% Charge". When you plan a trip using your phone or CarPlay, Apple takes in account your current SOC so it can determine how many charing stops you will need. While this is the typical way to plan, you might be starting this trip tomorrow with a 100% SOC and that might change the amount of stops. In Maps on your Mac you can choose "Assume 100% Charge" to view tomorrow's route with the proper amount of charging stops.

I planned a trip from Palm Desert to Las Vegas and it originally gave me two charging stops to get to Vegas with the 65% SOC I have. After selecting "Assume 100% Charge", Maps selected only one stop in Barstow to charge. I could always add more stops if I wanted to.

Maps originally chose an EA station in Barstow but I replaced it with a Tesla Supercharger station in Barstow on Tanger way that has 70, 250 kWh chargers and they accept the Tesla adapter.

Showing two different views as not everyone likes the satellite view (I do).

Do not have the adapter. Supposed to have received in June. Now says July. Doubting that will be here anytime in July.

You can see 12v % if you go to your account online and click on (your name) account.
Where does one go to see the battery level? I've scoured the Ford.com website and can't find it.
