Unfortunately you live where, in my experience, is the most dishonest businesses, highest rate of scam artists, and people who lack respect for others and property. My son attended med school and residency in the Miami area, and he used a car we provided. So many negative experiences with apartments, cars, parking lots, towing scams, vandalism. Sorry to trash where you live, but your MME brake experience is consistent with our experience there.

Get on the expressway occasionally with 1 pedal turned off and lightly press the brake pedal a few times to clear off the rust and you should be fine.
Lightly pressing the brake pedal in 2 pedal mode does not engage the brakes at all. pressing the brake pedal simply starts regen until that is nearly maxed out then the friction brakes are blended in. You have to stop fairly strongly to significantly engage the friction brakes.

to scrub the rotors without regen happening first, you have to be in Neutral.

I didn't have a reason to report it since they replaced all my pads and rotors under warranty. I suggest you bring the TSB to the attention of your dealer and see what they say.
I’m under the impression that if you report it even if it was covered, the NHTSA will determine if this is a safety issue if enough cars are affected. Then Ford will need to do something about the design flaw. My post yesterday shows a lot of people have had this issue and it will help other people in the future. It was easy to report on their website

I'm an owner of a 2021 MachE with 9700 miles. When the new key was offered, I brought the car in with 9400 miles and asked if they could do the 10000 mile check. They reported brakes at the time were normal. Two months and 300 miles later, I was told all 4 rotors were broken and needed replacement. Not covered by warranty. I'm an ignorant grandmother who drives like a grandmother (no heavy braking, speeding, etc.) I live in south Florida and it's hot, but I've never had this issue with any other car. Can someone explain to me how this could happen? Thank you.
i live in the area, I don’t trust any service company here, including any car dealership, they all want to take advantage of customer..

I recommend not driving on the expressway/freeway/interstate using 1-pedal mode. Certainly do not engage 1-pedal when cruise control is engaged. The cruise control system will regen when going downhill/slope to help maintain the set speed. Don't need to set regen systems that may compete with each other.
Um... One pedal drive shuts off automatically when engaging cruise control.

I'm not doubting you but what is your source for this information? You are the first person I'm aware to state that occurs. Would be a good reference source.

True story to reinforce your point. The Prius my son was driving broke down and was towed to a Toyota service center late on a Friday, so they could not work on it until Monday. The service manager told me that he would not charge me a 'garage fee' for keeping it on the premises during the weekend. Like he was really extending his generosity to me!!!

According to that list going for a drive after turning off stability control would be a good way to turn off regenerative breaking.

That would be way easier than trying drive around switching into neutral for breaking.

I find that the best way to clean the pads is to put the car in neutral at the top of my very steep parking ramp and let gravity do its thing, with brakes slowing it down to a controlled stop. I try to do this once a week or two and after washing the car.

I think the clue on this one is a 2021 MME with only 9700 miles. How long did the car sit? If it sat a while, perhaps rust developed and that is why they cracked and it is not under warranty. If it sat outside from going cold to hot and back to cold again.... I could see that happening.

It's highly improbable, but is possible under the right circumstances.

The warranty for pads and rotors is 12 months and 12k miles whatever comes first .

I haven't seen pictures of this issue so won't speculate

HUH ?

'cruise control', especially in adaptive mode uses regen braking when needed to maintain speed and distance from vehicles, and sharp turns detected, in front. It's actually weirdly good at pretty twisty mountain roads.

when cruise control is 'engaged' you are temporarily in 0-pedal mode.... if you tap the brakes, it drops out of cruise back to whatever you were in before cruise. If you accel, it drops back into cruise.

cruise does not 'compete' or change your non-cruise setting.
