Oh my railcar was an AOK too.My car hopped an AOK railcar. I don't think there's a way to track that. I learned that these are predominately leased railcars on someone else's track. Things I never thought of...
Ford Chat is getting more and more "remindful" that I could be talking with my dealer about that. I think they're getting slammed.
Well handled! I'm not sure I would have been able to keep my cool if I was in your situation. Enjoy your Mach E! You've more than earned it!It was anything but smooth sailing when we got to the dealer yesterday. I was in constant touch with my sales person providing my info so the credit/finance piece can be taken care of before I get to the dealer. And this person confirmed they’ll honor the original purchase price and x-plan, the deal his manager agreed to in December. My wife and I get to the lot, the sales person first shows us the Mach-E. We are swooning over it!
Then we headed into his office and he lays out the paperwork. What price do I see? The current price, not the original purchase price! My wife and I were perplexed to say the least. The sales person basically said they don’t have the original order sheet, and he is unable to access Smart VINCENT, and the DORA is unavailable. I told him that’s unacceptable. I chose his dealer over the Ford dealer 5 minutes from my house.
This went back and forth for at least an hour and a half. The manager emails someone at Ford and confirms the original purchase price. Great! Then the sales person drops the 2nd bomb, we’re not able to apply x-plan pricing to my order unless we accept the invoice price. I didn’t accept that. I had to pull out the emails from his manager that confirms original price and x-plan pricing. The manager came in again after making a phone call to someone at Ford and figured out the x-plan pricing for the original purchase price. This took another hour or so.
Then the third bomb was dropped, namely because I didn’t realize it soon enough. I only realized this at final contract signing. They’re not crediting me the $325 for the removal of active park assist. The sales person said that’s not possible unless we go back to the invoice price. I said then I should get that for free when it comes available since I’m paying for it. The sales person said no, I asked for his manager to get involved. Manager comes in and agrees, in writing, to install the active park assist on our Mach-E at no additional cost when it becomes available.
We signed all the paperwork and provided the down payment. The sales person asked us to go play with the car and get it setup. We did that, and after about 20 minutes the sales person brought us the receipt for the down payment. He explained a few things about the Mach-E, got us setup in Ford Pass, and took a few pictures of my wife and I with our marvelous Mach-E.
Came home to my elated children that stormed the Mach-E the moment we pulled into the driveway.
The reason I’m posting this is because several people have asked me to detail the process of what I go through. This is was my journey to get my Mach-E. Hope it helps you folks get the original pricing. 3+ hours at the dealer. Kept my cool the whole time and always made it a point that I want the original agreement.
Now, I need some advice on what apps I need installed on my phone besides Ford Pass. Plug Share? Electrify America?
I have read that too and had some concerns. As unbelievable as this sounds, it didn't fail once for us.One of the first things I did with my Premium RWD SR back in the fall was disable the hands free liftgate. It was so flaky. Happy to not pay for it.
What I want is Kia like Smart Liftgate where if you stand near the tail it will beep three times and open up automatically. I thought that would be useless but it's an amazing feature.
Iced Blue! Same color as mine! The more I see it the more I love itHere are some pics
I also say this every time I see one! I can’t wait to lay eyes on my own!Iced Blue! Same color as mine! The more I see it the more I love it
I'm glad that the story had a happy ending, at least, but what a mess. It's for that reason I'm trying to get my dealer to get all of the pricing settled before the vehicle actually arrives. I know that once the car is on the lot, I'm going to be feeling a lot of anticipation and might even agree to pay more than I should, just to be done with the process and actually get the car. I know that in your case it was unique, since your dealer was farther away.It was anything but smooth sailing when we got to the dealer yesterday.
Plugshare is the old standby to determine where chargers are (of any sort) and to discern if they're free or not, and working or not. Ideally it can be used to determine if they're in use, too, but in my area a lot of people don't "check in" when they're using the chargers. I rarely use it anymore, since I know the chargers in my area.It was anything but smooth sailing when we got to the dealer yesterday.

Of the people who've gotten their cars, have y'all heard like a pop sound when you're braking or accelerating? Just one sound only. Thinking this may be from breaking in the car, but wondering what, if anything, anyone else is experiencing. I've already searched the other forums for this particular issue and found nothing. TIA.
Ok yes. This is my issue. Thank you for breaking it down for me. I loved the 1PD option on my former Tesla. Now that I know this is normal on the Mach-e I will get used to it. Thanks again!Mach-E has some brake engage/disengage mechanism on slowing to stop and accelerating from stop. The brake blending + 1PD isn't as smooth as other EVs. It's sometimes a clunk sound. Happened on my Premium RWD SR and my new AWD ER.
Some folks hate it... it can rock at the car (slightly back and forth) at a stop too.
